I honestly think Spiderman could potentially be one of the best fighters in the Marvel Universe if he was trained by the likes of Captain America or Black Panther in various martial art styles... the only thing stopping him in the MCU is his lack of experience
He's trained by Shang-Chi, one of the best martial artists in all Marvel. He developed a 'Way of tte Spider' style for when spider-sense doesn't work.
Connor Sansby can I have the issue for that? Id like to check that out myself.
The Young Gamer Not to mention the fact that his enhanced speed, agility, strength, and all of his other abilities combined with his genius-level intellect could definitely make him THE best fighter in the marvel universe. Assassin Spider-Man, who was trained by the likes of Black Widow and Wolverine, was completely untouchable, and his spider-sense developed to the point that it made him very close to being psychic, and he could predict danger minutes to hours in advance.
Pls, writers, have MCU Spider-Man start seriously training. He's already physically stronger than the comic version, now all that he needs is to work on his fighting skill and getting rid of his childish clumsiness. He'll probably be able to take down Hulk without much issue once that happens.
Tobey's Peter was built different and is easily the most brutal when it comes to physical combat in live action or even animated media.
If you'd like to see more of him in action, check out this awesome CG animation! ua-cam.com/video/HsSrFgrDkRA/v-deo.html
I'm late to the party but I've been waiting on this one for a while. The Wing Chun's gotta be the hardest one to catch though. It was almost too obvious I guess. Trap followed by straight punch.
Can you try to break down Thor's fighting styles?
He has been shown to demonstrate wrestling moves like dropkicks and simple soccer like kicks. He even does theatrical body slams at times
His handling of his hammer is similar to some European sword handling mixed with knife throwing.
He is shown using people's momentum against them similar to judo
He did a round house kick once suggesting knowledge of taekwondo
And he has punches similar to that of boxing.
So it's not like there's a deficit of fighting styles . I'm really curious as to what you can come up with.
Bit random suggestion but could you do any of the Deathstrokes from green arrow tv series or Arkham verse, or from the new batman movie/ appearance in Justice league??? Pretty Please????
Niko Soukkala I'm rather curious of that. It makes sense most for it to be the arrow verse one seeing as it has the most fights. Plus since he trained Oliver you can apply anything for him to deathstroke as well
His fighting style reminds me of capoeira, especially in the games with the acrobatics
and kicks
5:50 how did he know that I said it before him, lol that scene had me dying
Godzillarex Can u do Darth maul vs obi wan kenobi and Qui gon jinn fight scene breakdown
Peter Parker calls it Tae-Web-Do. It is an amalgam of natural movements(within his augmented physicality) and traditional fight styles listed.
This is the best spiderman video
Thanks! You should totally check out my latest video: Why is Spider-Man so popular?
One of the most things I liked about the first Spider-Man film is how he learned how to fight or defend himself after getting his powers
You should do the fighting styles of Batman in The Dark Knight Trilogy.
Nolan's Batman uses just one fighting style throughout the trilogy, it's called "Keysi Fighting System".
Although he rarely throws some kicks in one or two thugs...
There's also shuriken throwing and ninjitsu ambushes, of course. And he learns to wield a katana from Ra's, who also called out the names a few styles he saw Bruce using when they train.
No Way Home showed that he could likely best Amazing Spider-Man, as shown when they first met, and is strong enough to easily withstand an enraged and bloodlusted, albeit battle damaged, MCU Spider-Man.
I said the same thing to my brother after watching it, haha. In terms of power levels, this is the strongest live action Spider-Man to date.
It makes sense given that Raimi Spidey is the oldest one out of them three and has more experience fighting.
my favorite childhood movies, and you released it on my birthday! love the vids
Thisvwas my childhood Spiderman. It's pretty cool to see the fighting styles he uses.
Great vid Adrian! Spider-Man 2 will remain on of my top ten favorite movies.
Great Stuff as always Bro...
Could you please please please do a "How many Martial Arts does Arkham Joker know ?"
He seems to be a pretty pro at Knife Fighting (Assault on Arkham Animated Movie) and Drunken Boxing (Arkham Asylum Joker Challenge Maps from Arkham Videos)...
I'M BEGGING YOU
that capoeira kick form spidey is so beautiful
4 years later, but I'm still waiting on "How Many Fighting Styles Does Spider-Man from The Amazing Spider-Man Know?"
This spiderman definitely looks like a boxer
So the tally is
Spider-Man:12
Arrow:13
Captain America:11
Daredevil:10
Batman:10
When the first Spider-Man movie came out, I asked my friend what if Jet Li was bitten by a genetically enhanced spider? And his got blown
Wow 12 fighting style this Spider Man is amazing( no pun intended) even better than the civil war one.
I love this ! Your videos are as thorough as always.
Outstanding! This video really covered a lot of ground. I don't think I would ever have picked up on the distinction of punching versus not punching, even though that's totally obvious now that you've said it (and maybe it's just that it's been a long time since I watched the original trilogy). Glad to see Capoeira getting some coverage (I learned about it back in college, couple decades ago, from the manga Battle Angel Alita); I heard that it was developed partly for prisoners/slaves who might have their hands bound, hence the focus on the legs.
On to Black Widow!
Thanks! Glad you're liking my videos. My personal favorites include: Solid Snake, Smash Bros Snake, Sam Fisher, and Blade.
Of course he doesn't know fighting styles, but he knows about physics, so he knows how mass/speed/etc work and how to benefit his strength using some specific movements.
Taskmaster knows more but it was taken from other fighters - Iron Fist, Cap, Spidey, Punisher, Daredevil and soooo many many more.
I would like a video about how many fighting styles does Guyver know
I wish we could have gotten a movie incarnation of Spider-Man whose fighting style takes not only cues from Capoeira, Boxing and Lucha Libre but also Jujutsu.
Loved the video man! That's my fav spiderman!
Spivey no doubt has picked up a lot of martial art moves from fighting a lot of skilled fighters over the yrs as well as read up on a a lot of styles and possibly picked up some pointers along the way from other great fighters but when you have the agility, strength, speed, flexibility and intelligence that he has then this only enhances these things has picked up along the way which is what he refers to his spidey-fu!
Edward Blake a.k.a. The Comedian from Watchmen.
Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man showed us how good of a close combat fighter their Spidey really is. His fighting skills are beyond the level of a brawler or any other cage fighter on the planet. No other Spider-Man outside of 616 can fight quite like Tobey Maguire.
Okay well, give or take a Spider-Man PS4 lol
Definitely want to learn how to fight like spiderman 🕷️🕷️🕷️
How many fighting styles do Hawkeye know in the MCU
I've only seen a couple of videos but sir you have a new sub I'm hooked on these videos
The kick that Spidey uses against the thug looks almost like an American Kempo style called the 'intercepting back kick.' It's very similar to TKD's side kick, but is used in closer quarters and has a twisting and dropping of the hips, similar to what you see in this video. So I personally would add American Kempo to the list.
it would be cool to see a video about Neo from the matrix
Spiderman knows 1 less fighting style than CW green arrow? Thats suprising
tauhida ali he is a Nerd he Just watch moovies the cw's Arrow is trained fighter i don't think Peter knows fight he just watch moovies and series like you and me before the Powers he was a piece of shit he was victm of bulliying he isso not trained fighter like Batman or daredevil or Green Arrow.
+maxdrags3 I expected Green arrow to know way more than him as he was trapped on an island for 5 years.
HE HASN'T BEEN TRAINED IN ANY OF THIS SHIT!!!!! Just like Charles said he's a nerd who copies technigues from movies/fight tips/ tutorials on internet! Now in the comics Cap and some other heroes (can't remember them currently) has trained Spidey and from what he learned from them he made the "the way of the spider" MA. But he is still no way NEAR Green Arrow level or better than the MUTHAFUCKING BATMAN! (in BvS) And in the best case scenario I'd say Peter is FAMILIAR with these martial arts and not MASTERED them like GA or Batman
Oh yeah and Arrow wan't on the island for "5 years" he was barely even 2,5 years there! After that came the "spy in China for Amanda Waller" shit
godzillarex got it wrong in his cw green arrow video. Oliver obviusly is familiar with with boxing and I remember oliver pulling off a triangle choke at one point in season 1
He learned all of that from one Spider bite?
Remember, most movies assume that their superheroes magically learn martial arts once they acquire their powers. Very few got out of their way to explain how that happened.
Vince McMahon If you think about it, most people could somewhat assimilate a fighting style from odd clubs during their childhood and movies - it is usually the lack of practice and refinement that means that people can't focus it into a situation. Peter's bite gave him the awareness and physical prowess to execute these sparse skills and afford to be sloppy - after all, if you could dodge bullets from several guns at the same time, lift up a car with ease and balance your whole body on a single finger after landing from a several metre drop, who needs refined batman level skill anyway?
It's funny how MCU spider man had never made a single punch at this point but now he has!!!!
it would be cool if he did a video about night wing
spidey sense unlocks so many possibilities in martial arts potential, you can be so precise I think that ability alone is the most broken thing about spidey
This Spidey is probably the most deadliest next to the 616 SM. Tobey’s Peter is just fucking deadly
Spider-Man knows how to fight
I Hunger For Battle, I need safe place to Train....to learn to do it responsibly
8:42 That guy straight up looked like Chad from Scenic Fights lmao.
Another great video man! Would you ever consider doing an analysis on armed combat fight videos or anime fight videos? PS: @6:05 No sir, it doesn't lol still hilarious
Awesome series !!!
Please do Cap or Ong Bak
Godzillarex Great video. Can you do Black Canary, Deathstroke, or Nightwing next?
How many martial art does Bucky or Black Panther know??
thank you this was my wish awsome video! maybe the amazing spider-man 1 and 2 ?
I'm pretty sure before he became Spider-Man he studied martial arts to defend himself against his bully..or bullies. When he got bit his skills heightened.
The "back fist" isn't correct when u talked about karate, it's called Uraken. And I know that, I do it!
Both are correct. Yes, the official Japanese term is "Uraken" but in English it's colloquially known as Back Fist. It's like in Taekwondo, the official Korean term is "Ap Chagi" but it's colloquially known in English as the front kick. There's usually more than one way to say a martial arts technique. Thanks for watching!
Damn. SM Spiderman is a even better fighter than I remembered.
Can you do Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman? You did Tom and tobeys🤞🏾
Do a fighting style for amazing spider man 1 and 2
I always thought that Spider-man doesnt actualy know martial arts, he is just naturaly fast, strong, agile, awared about surroundings and has spider-sense to predict danger.
Sure. But all of that doesn't teach you how to punch so you don't break your wrist. Or kick so you don't break your knee or ankle.
Well, i guess that he has denser bones and stronger joints then human, because otherwise he would break his own bones by the power of his own muscles. Also healing factor.
...what I'm saying is that you don't know the proper technique. People can't just naturally throw roundhouse kicks. You have to learn how to do it.
Godzillarex I know, what I meaned is that I cant remember any mention that Spider-man actualy studied techhniques. I may be wrong though, I'm not a hardcore fan or anything)
Its boxing, all his punches are boxing! He uses the bare knuckle sboxing, which differs from modern boxing, cause gloves prevent hand injury and also rules about lenght of the fight and forbbiden moves.
The hand position is meant to split the impact in all four knuckles it your hand won't break and you can keep on bashing. Also the strenght is driven from the torso, by clenching the core to drive the body weight into it and absorving possible retaliation strikes. This also allows you to spring in a flurry.
Whart most people don't know is elbowing is also a boxing move, such as headbutts! This is already a long comment so I'll finnish here.
Please do Wolverines fighting styles
if you add movement style, spiderman also mastering circus acrobatic, pro-climbing sport, sky diving, and parkour
Amazing Spiderman fighting styles pls
Raimi Spiderman is GOAT
Great now do a video on who would win between the MCU Spider-Man and the Raimiverse Spider-Man.
Don't get me wrong, I like Tom Holland and everything, I just kind of think MCU Spidey is a pussy. Just saying, he's never thrown a single punch and he just mostly webs up his enemies which is SOOOOOOOO lame.. I'd like to see him grow a pair of balls for the next movie and actually throw a damn punch..
-_- I grew up with Toby Spider-Man and he'll always be my favorite Spidey.
Spidey Does Know How To Great Martials Arts Techniques
You should do a Spider-Man ps4 fighting styles vid
Ultra instinct spiderman CONFIRMED
You should do one on any of the assassins from assassins creed
can you do a fighting styles video of deathstroke and may be ra's all ghul from the arrow t.v. series. Thanks for the great vids
Dude, can you do one for Furiosa and Max from Mad Max: Fury Road? That movie has some of the most practical action sequences.
The push kick looks more of a Spartan kick
Yes, the movie 300 famously used a push kick with Leonidas. And then Assassin's Creed decided to call it Spartan kick for that exact reason.
It was said in the 60's Peter Parker studied Savate, and Judo.
You should do more videos like that.
I've done plenty! Here's the playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLEGMqA6EvzxlV-NP7_MO1aPV6y_SUnIx3.html
Dude spider man rocks
Do one with Captain America, because it was revealed he was holding back against Spider-Man in the new Civil War 2 comics
Way of the magic, more magic, magic with a kick
Tobey: Better in combat.
Andrew: Better in swinging.
Tom: Better in backflips.
If you mix all those things, that's the best Spider-Man structure.
Tobey is more of a brawler and the most experienced, Andrew is the quickest and agile, and Tom is kind of the crafty and resourceful fighter with the gadgets and suits
does this mean that Spiderman is like batman? knowing every martial arts? only difference: spidey taught himself.
He knows them, but he hasn't MASTERED them.
That's the big difference between Spidey and Bats.
Destiny Dimension cool, that means that spidey and bats are neck and neck. Two vigilantes.
Doesn't really need mastery except for Way of the Spider, which was developed by Spidey for Spidey and fits Spidey better than anyone else.
how about black panther
daisuke uchiha It's probably better to wait for the live action film that way there would be more scenes to breakdown.
Why wait? He's already done it on MCU Spider-Man, so why not BP?
About a year until the Black Panther movie. That's a long time to wait. He could probably do an update video after it comes out.
Can you do the amazing spider Man fight styles
Your analysis is very good, but this Spidy could know 12 fighting stiles at best, cause various techniques that you assigned to different stiles can fit in just one, for example, karate uses side kicks, elbow and knee strikes and a couple of throws, so 3 or 4 styles fit in one. Of course, you choosed each style cause is specialises in each type of move, but still I think he could know 12 styles at best. Good video by the way.
Thanks! Yes, when it comes to assigning fighting styles it's a little tricky. There is always a ton of crossover between techniques.
how many styles for Iron Fist or Colleen Wing would be cool...
Was really hoping for a Gymkata reference in this one. Ah well...maybe for the Amazing Spider-Man?
+JCIce007 Haha, maybe. I'm pretty sure that reference would fly over most people's heads.
Thanks for the fighting styles video. Could you do how many fighting styles does Sydney Bristow know from Alias. If you haven't seen the show I highly recommend watching it the show has great action, a great story, and great characters.
Can you do Big Boss from Metal Gear? CQC incorporates a lot of fighting styles and I'm curios to see which ones would play a role in it?
You should totally do a Deathstroke
Once he get's his appearance in DCEU! Either Justice League or The Batman.
Hey Godzillarex, you should analyze Zod vs jor el in man of steel. Also great video
Thanks man! I hadn't really thought of breaking that down as it is such a short and quickly cut fight, but sure, I'll add it to the list of suggested videos!
Also it would b cool if u did these (and I know you have a long list and are focusing on superheroes)
1. Zod vs jor el
2. Hobbs vs Dom
3. Jason Bourne 2016 final fight
4. Batman vs bane final fight
5. Spider-Man 3 house fight
6 Sherlock Holmes fight
7. Matrix fight
8. Fighting styles of batman from tdk
9. Fighting styles of iron man
10. Fighting styles of the winter soldier
11. Fighting styles of black Widow/Hawkeye
fun fact: Capoeira looks like dancing because it was designed to be disguised as dancing. during the 16th century Portuguese colonization of Brazil, they prohibited native Brazilian and African slaves from practicing martial arts, so some escaped slaves developed Capoeira so the colonists could practice self-defense without worry.
Yep!
Actually never been proven, even though is legend amonsgt the Capoeria community ot could never be solidily proven since during this slavery period the occupiers never alloed the slaves and form of tradition in public. The closest like i Bateau and forgive me for my spelling of Bateau. Al so the is a link to Zebra warrior women tribe in i south west Africa.
It is a dance , it's even a emote in FORTNITE of course it's a dance
I met a world champion capoeira player, and man, those kicks HURT. It is indeed a very beautiful and dance like fight, but you can use it to injure just as much.
wesley patterson everyone knows that
