Its not as easy as you would think! Today we test out the Rode NT1, the Rode NT1a, the Lewitt LCT 441 Flex, and the Audio Technica AT2020 in a new form of microphone review.....which one do we like the most blindfolded?? Oh also we threw in the Neewer NW800 just to shake it up :)

Surprisingly, this gave me more comparison between mics than ANY video ever has. Subbed!!
Ayyy that was the goal! Glad you liked it :) and thanks for the sub!
Thanks for having me! I look forward to damaging even more expensive equipment with my forehead in the future!
Wouldn't have it any other way :)
Maaaaaan, this video is so entertaining, feels like I'm there in the room. Great video!
Also, made me help with choosing my first mic!
5:59 LOOL WHy did that make me laugh so hard when he went "TSSS" after the 2 second pause
Hhaha yeah something about testing microphone sounds without context is absolutely ridiculous
You deserve more recognition. How aren't you already blowing up???
Thank you so much!! Its been a healthy growth, maybe with a some more time we'll grow quicker, the channel is still very young :)
Thank you for this great comparative. Good AT 2020, for its price.
One of the most entertaining videos on mics I've seen.
It's just pure joy. You have nice friends too.
Lewitt does sound good but so bland... No one sounded just right on it I think.
It's all an act for the camera, I'm an ass in real life
Thank you Garry!! Hope I can do more videos of this format in the future, looking into getting access to some high end microphones :)
Still can't believe I almost had all five of them correct! Really goes to show how sometimes you gotta just trust your ears above all else haha!
Thank you so much for having me on the AudioHaze channel, this was loads of fun!!
Dude anytime! But you know that haha
wait how do u get the little eighth note mark next to your name I'm jelly wtf
@@EthanToga7 headbutt another 9 more microphones and you unlock it with an achievement
This video is hilarious!!!! HAHAHA! I love the editing nioce job mate!
Thank you sir!! It took so long, reminded me of the old days of late night projects :,)
Now I'm even more unsure if I shud upgrade my at2020 to a lewit 440 lolllll
Very impressive results!
I would have guessed the microphones not only based on audio characteristics but also plosives and resonance. Plosives and especially resonance usually have a more obvious and dramatic difference. Seemed like there was a obsession on sibilants which is less have a less dramatic delta.
Thats true we were pretty obsessed with sibilance. Its tough, you should try! The sibilance seemed like a rather obvious thing to latch on to so we all did, but if I do this format again your techniques are definitely something to keep in mind
Great editing in this one man!
Thank you very much my friend!
great content paaji. thanks so much great comparison - simple grt quality and short.. more power to u😊
Thank you!
Merci pour cette vidéo si ludique ! Je suis sur le point d'acheter un micro et ce test m'a beaucoup aidé !
Love your content dude. Keep up the production level. Much love from South Africa.
Thank you so much! I try and step up my production game little by little each time, means a lot :)
@@AudioHaze Yep, it's really working well. I LOVE this blind test! I have the AT2020 and am awaiting for my upgrade (NT1)... now I'm worried that it's not much of an upgrade :-(
That was fun! great job editing. I did one similar to this testing mics through zoom for music lessons. My friend and I played 6 instruments into 6 or so mics....it was a bear to edit!
Thanks so much! Yeah these are soooo much work to edit, triple the work of an average video
I enjoyed this. Most especially the neewer' part . Love you guys . Cool !
Ah thank you so much!
Might I just say that the demo track from Ricky at the start was SICK, reminds me of maybe black dresses
Thanks!
Very interesting, love these kind of videos
Thank you!
Very surprised about the NT1. Watched this twice. Great job
Thanks so much! And yeah it surprised me too haha
me after buying the nt1 and watching this 😩😫
Great video great effort is putting right there keep up the great work 🙏
Thank you so much!
Interesting that the AT2020 reviewed as well as it did given that it's the second least inexpensive on the list.
wow. talented people. great video!
Ey thank you so much for the nice comment!
this shows just how well the at2020 stacks up against the nt1
It'd be interesting to see if higher end mics would be identified and rated favourably in blind testing.
Definitely, I think I can probably get my had son a 414, but the others might be hard to find, but I may be able to pull some strings and give that a shot :)
you can always visit any nice studio with good mic park for the sake of nice video)@@AudioHaze
The Rode engineers are not happy with this outcome 😂😂
Hahaha probably not lol
:)))))))))
that was so fun to watch !!!
Thanks Toni!
Think i made the right choice with the At2020
My heart broke when they rated the NT1
Honestly me too, I spend so much time advocating for it!! But I still like it, those sibilances didn't do it any favors though
NT1 is still my favourite . With pop filter and some d-essing it does the job . The mic i hate is lewitt as it's too bright and airy and doesn't go with soft textures as it doesn't have good mids and body . If you have a good bassy tone then lewitt is fine .
Nice! Yeah the NT1 is great, I personally love the Lewitt but I get why you wouldn't prefer it if you like darker mics :)
@@AudioHaze You got me !
dude i thought you liked the nt1 , and i just bought one..shaitt
Haha don't worry! Its still a great mic, these blind tests are always pretty exposing aren't they. Honestly, the sibilance is harsh, but beyond that the tone is great!
@@AudioHaze yea i definitely think so atleast in my case :) ...this has been my trajectory in mics
bm800> shure sm48 > sennheiser mke600 shotgun > rode nt1.
nt1 sounds better than all of them and is giving me cleaner audio in terms of background noise.
First dude's talking voice is very similar to James Hetfield of Metallica 🤘😁
Thanks! His voice is dope I'm honored
that's a great video idea!
Thanks!!

Wow a big change in your content.
I’m always looking for ways to implement new ideas. I don’t want to be a one trick pony. I’m going to try and throw ideas out there and see what sticks. The regular microphone reviews will stay, this is just a new idea on what other series could work for the channel :)
@@AudioHaze It's awesome.
And I really love your content and keep trying to experiment with new things.
Just because of you I am in love with rode Nt1 and saving every penny to get that for my rap career.
I Love at2020 and nw800 🥰🎤🎙️
I LOVE the AT2020 :)
What headphones do you use? I’m currently torn between the DT 770 and the ATH M50x and would love some advice.
I use the ATH m30x actually, one model below the m50s, but get the DT 770's they're amazing. My friends have some, they're awesome
@@AudioHaze would you recommend ATH M30x for music, some non professional mixing, maybe game sometimes for hours?
I hate the sibilence on the nt1 and think it's awful for spoken word. Not sure why it is so popular.
At the Booth junkies comparison between the King Bee and the Lewitt LCT 440 Pure I found the LCT 440 Pure to be quite harsh sounding. The LCT 540 S on his voice was much more pleasing to my ears but then again multiple times the price. I was more into the RØDE NT1. Because of that I’m not sure how to rate the LCT 441 Flex, which at first I suspected to be like a modifiable version of the LCT 440 Pure. It seems it’s highly dependent on the voice. But for now I’d probably chose the NT1
Nice! Yeah the Lewitt treated all of our voices really well in this video I feel like
It dresses like a condenser lol
hahahaha
Fun and interesting.
Thank you!

Does it make sense to get the Lewitt 441 pro flex?
It absolutely does, its awesome. 100% support that decision
@@AudioHaze Thank you 😊
