Great video! I agree that we all have deep insecurities, which we often don't realize until we feel safe. A lot of my insecurities stem from religious abuse and sexual traumas since childhood, and I tend to blame myself for things that happened when I was scared and confused, which causes me to black out and dive into a fantasy world with my mental disorders. There are double memories in my mind, where reality and the delusions battle. So far, I've discovered I tend to think negatively about myself and have trouble enjoying my achievements, though I do see progress day to day. What I don't like is being told how to feel or how I feel, what I do like are conversations and entertainment that help me discover how I feel and what causes me to feel that way.
The pivotal moment that changed the trajectory of my life was joining the military. Not because it's great. No. I learned a lot, enjoyed my job, hated the mission and suffer from the effects, since I'm an empath who blocked emotions because they were too painful and I didn't feel I had support. After my military service, I had to get away from my husband at the time, and deployed to Afghanistan with a contracting company. I stayed there over a year, with a 2-week break, then went back to my home life. I remembered I hated it, so I deployed again with another company and requested the same location, same job. A couple of days after I arrived, I met the man I would run away with. It's been STRESSFUL trying to go from a people-pleaser who earned the income and did everything my ex-husband told me to do to an independent person who loves being around her love. My husband has told me many times to, "think for yourself." How can I not love a man who doesn't want to control me?
Now, I write dark psychological fantasies and include therapy skills I've learned on the way, focusing on the torture "chosen ones" go through to stay sane and help others without burning out their souls. I self-published "The Scarring of the Roshanra," my debut novel, last March. I have 73,901 words in my second novel, too! It will be ready by next spring, since quick deadlines are too rigid for me to enjoy what I do.
Today's simple choice is to shoot a video on the imperfections of perfectionism, which I've been procrastinating on doing because of the insecurities. But, I can do it. It won't be perfect, but it will be a step in the right direction.
Funnily enough, novels are easier for me than blogs, btw! I tend to ramble, like in this comment. HAHA

I had to pause to re-listen to this:
"And when I got back my time, which now is my currency through life, I learned the things that you see me doing today that allowed me to grow a seven-figure company. It wasn't the six figures. It was the work.
And I've never shared that, because I never want to get it twisted that like it was the money that was life changing. It wasn't, it was the time that allowed me to build a business that still affords me time. But when I claimed back my time, I went to seven figures, not intentionally, not as a goal on the paper, but because I was building something that could run while I rested. And that's a big difference."
Mic drop! TIME is a more precious commodity or resource than money will ever be. Yes, we need money to live and it makes life easier and less stressful, but our lives are made of TIME, not money. We can never get back time once it is spent (quantum physics & tardises aside!). And when you know what is worth prioritising, the rest can all fall into place... (ojala!).
Ok, back to finish the rest of the video now... 🙏😊💕

I deeply admire the vulnerability that Jenna shares regarding her relationship. It is so beautiful and tender- it feels like a gift. "Two people can love each other even though their bodies look different" is a statement dear to my heart. I think it's time to lift the "mis-matched" facade that people have to look the same in order to be a well matched couple. Isn't variety the spice of life? Different colors, shapes, heights, ages, etc can be what help make us even more compatible! Relishing all the expressions of beauty... Dr. Maria De Franco XOXO
