- TWO APOLOGIES ARE DUE. First, I know I said once every Tuesday but I get stuck up editing these videos for way longer than I planned. I'm also on a trip right now with really terrible connection that made it almost impossible to upload the video. Second, I forgot my wind filter on the shotgun mic so the audio turns from average to downright mute worthy in the middle. I tried to subtitle the video wherever I felt it was necessary so I HOPE THAT HELPS!!
With that out of the way, these are the college essays that got accepted at Stanford! They are my Stanford supplemental essays (or Stanford shorties, as I like to call them). They range from - what would you do if you had an extra hour in the day, to what are you looking forward at Stanford.
I give a few pieces of advice in this video but honestly, essay writing is so subjective you could do the complete opposite of what I suggest and still find yourself sitting at Stanford in a year - maybe with me, since I'm now taking a gap year. Anyways, that's been my rant, see you next week :)
I'm aware this is a really long video, and I'm the first person to click off when I see a count exceed ten minutes, but I would only publish this if I thought it was worth the seconds spent.

HI. Okay real quick before I go for dinner. DON'T WATCH THIS WITH HEADPHONES, I forgot to take my camera mic's wind filter with me on my trip (vlog coming soon) so the audio can become quite fatal to the ears. Also, take all the advice lightly because essays are super subjective, and you could literally do the opposite of what I say and still maybe get in (building donations are a sure shot method). dude I've been watching u for quite a while now and Stanford has been my dream school forever now, after watching ur EC's vid I feel like I'm so screwed, I'm in the 10th grade and all I've got is a couple MUNs and I play the ukulele, I really want to start a small business that'll help raise money but my parents want me to focus on boards (yk what it's like) help a desperate Indian out!

Hey man! I just wanted to say that I felt the exact same way as you sophomore year! I also wanted to go for these top schools but didn’t feel competitive enough. You’re only a sophomore, meaning you have so much time to build your EC’s. Just trust and keep building passionate EC’s and by the time you apply you’ll have enough!

@@simranpanda672 The concept of a dream school is overrated, trust me. While it's always motivating to have one definite goal in mind when working towards your college applications the reality is everything is uncertain. I couldn't have predicted for certainty where I'd end up, and now that I know, I couldn't be happier. Just trust yourself to go all the way, and watch the rest follow :)

Im in 9th grade,i got inspired by you ,i started cold mailing via linked in and got an internship ....I am also having few international ,national and state titles and achievements ...Ive done some projects that were recognised by the government and was covered in many medias(not to brag)....I really want to become an entrepreneur and would love to obtain my masters from hbs or stanford business school and start my own venture and employ a lot of people,innovate and contribute to the society...love your videos ,helped me a lot...would love to get in touch with you or at least get a reply!!!

Hey Shaurya, I too run a non profit organization but do I need to register that because before starting that I read several things and one of them was that if you want to get financial aid for your work then you should register but I don't need any such aid. I am a bit confused. Please help
How do you deal with the word limit?? I mean, I always end up writing too much and it's annoying. I just have so many ideas and thoughts!! So, how to figure out which one is the best ??
I usually write 30-40 words extra. You really need to learn how to edit them down to it's absolute core

I had a doubt I wrote a really good essay (in my opinion ) which had large and difficult words but many of my essay readers said it's difficult to read. What should I do?
I wrote another and it was liked by more people but had very simple words.
What should I do ?
Words can be taken out and put back in. Just make sure the idea of the essay is liked rather than the language. That said, don't put too many hard words if you don't feel like that's how you naturally write.
