Nike+ has changed my life! Went to never running to my first 10K in under a month! Hopefully running my first half this fall and full in spring :)

We shared a rheumatoid specialist doc and he was a very friendly man. No doubt about that! Nice chap

I love that they have to write what he is saying at the bottom lol, kinda funny to me. I guess it is kinda hard for people who aren't from Africa to understand us. Paul is a great inspiration to all of us here at home!!

that's right, I used to be in very good shape and had no problem running with a friend who only could manage 10 min miles, I just hung out and made it my easy day. But I knew others who wouldn't give him the time of day. Not very respectful. One can always train hard any time they want, friendships mean more than a silly run.

I just love watching these guys, they're super class athletes.
I will never buy into the crap these Corporation bribe them to advertise.
It has been scientifically that people run best on barefoot!
These guys are humble runners, they became World Class through effort, not through iphones or the latest running shoes.
Please look up Born to Run by Christopher McDougall on TEDtalks etc.

that´s what fartlek was meant for... search for fartlek training methods, it gives you speed, and muscle volume... its good to combine fartlek training (repetitions) with long trainings

yeah, he's using 3'20 as "not so fast, steady pace" in another ad, but here I think he cares more about us poor people ;-P

Fartlek is Swedish, but it is serious running none the less. ;-) It's a from of spontaneous interval training developed for the Swedish track team in 1937, after repeatedly losing to Finland in the 20's, according to Wikipedia. Literally: Fart-lek = speed-play/game. Swed. "Fart" has nothing to do with the English word "fart", but is related to "fare" as in "farewell". For the nerd herd. And this guy is cool.

Go back to 1984 Olympic Steeple Chase to the present Olympics and see what the Olympic Kenyan runners have done so far.

I rate Paul with Geb and Kenenisa as amongst the greatest distance runners of all time. I thought he would win marathon gold in Athens. The heat got him and Baldini was too good.

How is it that people run best on barefoot? If runners did that on cement or grass their feet woild get destroyed in no time...
