In the final China Mission, if you keep your funds under 5,000, the SCUD Strom will not fire, you can also keep the GLA Supply Stash intact and use either the Black Lotus or the Cash Hack Ability from your Generals Promotion's Points/Powers to steal Cash from enemy Supply Centers, I personally prefer capturing GLA tech and building an army or a base with defenses and palaces to further bolster my main base defenses.

Well, the first choice would be a retail CD version, with some patches. And after that, probably steam. The, uh, cheaper options, the ones $0 cheap, I remember indeed having some issues, like they were taken from one single faulty release. :))
