The author mentioned that Shen Qiao’s and Yan Wushi’s love is one that is not vocally stated but expressed through their actions. Therefore, while we don’t get direct love confessions from either telling the other “I love you”, Yan Wushi does call Shen Qiao his weakness and that his heart is for Shen Qiao so this is probably the closest to a love confession we’ll get. This extra seems to reference 97 regarding he weakness part while the heart part I mentioned was in chapter 107 and the author’s explanation as to lack of confessions in the story is at a footnote in chapter 125

Yes. The author is not explicit so we won't have confession scenes in her novels, like the Peerless (Wushuang), which happened after Thousand Autumns (Qian Qiu). Though even though the CPs (couples) for both novels always bicker (and we have A LOT of bickering in Wushuang since the MC, Cui Buqu is no softie like Shen Qiao coz CBQ has an EXTREMELY SHARP mouth though the ML Feng Xiao is D*MN NARCISSISTIC as lao Yan though 🤣) but the author really gave us MORE THAN ENOUGH sweetness because of the CPs life and death, and their moving words ❤❤❤)
