John Mahama is a passionate pan Africanist being the son of a die hard Nkrumahist. He is good for Ghana since he has matured a great deal since his last presidency. Im not from his party but campaigned for him to win in my home district. Ghana Renaissance. Africa Rising
He has within him the Spirit of our past Leaders, Jomo Kenyatta., Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara, Kwame Nkrumah, Sekou Toure, Modibo Keita, Nelson Mandela, Abdul Nasser, Ben Bella and so many others! We have to stop fighting ourselves, stop kowtowing to external forces, take a leaf from Ibrahim Traore, and move on with courage and determination towards 2060. ❤.
A great statesman by all standard. No wonder the people of Ghana voted for him overwhelmingly. Never again shall we allow wasters to ever govern our Homeland Ghana
Africa’s underlying problem is not neocolonialism but rather official corruption and very bad governance, which started from Nkrumah’s regime in ghana and lack of ability to extract and add value to our natural resources in Africa,if now fragmented Africa becomes a single entity in future and the underlying problems, especially poor governance now inhibiting economic growth in individual Africa countries persist the continent would still be an empty giant. So the focus must now be on good governance in individual Africa countries before long lasting union can be achieved. Otherwise, very soon in the near future, well fed Africa leaders would have to meet again, only to come up with another acronym to replace AU, which superseded OAU. A word to the wise is enough.
Corruption and bad governance started with nkrumah’s regime? I believe your point about good governance is a shared vision but your premise statement reveals where you stand.

With a leader such as JDM, not only right minded Ghanaians worldwide are glad, but also all over Africa and the world at large are happy. Of course the evil 😈 ones are unhappy. AES already stated that countries with significant development and bigger economies like Nigeria, Ghana nd Ivory Coast would not be allowed in the bloc.
This is such a poor speech. It feels like the continuation of the lip service which has engulfed the AU. All talk and no show. I was expecting to hear what he is passionate about. Not just reading to us a passage his secretary wrote. I love what he is doing with my country Ghana but this is just talk.
That's not what is important. Waiting patiently to see development in agric. I don't want to hear that because of lack of rain, the country has to import foodstuffs etc. Pay cocoa farmers 6000/7000 cedis to make it attractive
When the fundamentals are weak the exchange rate will expose you. The exchange rate exposed Bawumia big time. So shut up and don't bring him here for people to insult him.
