REI XeroDry GTX Rain Jacket Waterproof Test & Long Term Review

Cheapest Gortex Jacket from REI COOP! I was pleasantly surprised by this guy, I have had it for a while now and at first I was skeptical. At first it was not as waterproof as I thought it should be for the pricepoint and for having GORTEX. However after giving it a Nikwax treatment this thing is great. Sometime all a gortex jacket needs is a good wash @ 30deg C.
Yes I would recommend this jacket!
If you are on a budget I would not recommend it, you do not need gortex and gortex is also terrible for the environment. You really only need gortex if your actually doing long trips into the mountains and need your jacket to pack up super tight and dry quickly.

I am 6' 1" or 1.854 meters. I weigh about 175. I have a L but it really seems like an XL or a XXL.

Ive had so much success with Patagonia's H2NO I kinda just avoid Gore-Tex.. it's brutal stuff on the environment. The newer H2N0 and Pertex stuff is really close to Gore-Tex and a lot better made stuff.

Why review gear that’s used? You don’t know how long it’s been used or how many times. You don’t know anything about it’s past use. Get a new one and do your tests.
