I have seen Wendy Fulton in two other television shows. She portrayed Maid Marion, the love of Robin Hood, in a short-lived time travelling TV series called “Voyagers!” that ran on NBC-TV during the 1982-83 season. She also appeared in an episode of “V” back in the 1984-85 season; in which she portrayed an alien named Glenda who gave birth to a lizard egg. I may have seen her in another television or two, but I am unable to recall anything more about her background. As for William Lucking, I have seen him in “Kung Fu” with David Carradine, “The Incredible Hulk” with Bill Bixby, and “Star Trek: Enterprise” as an Orion privateer, and probably a few other shows.
I found out after first season Patricia McPherson was fired & replaced Rebecca Holden as April because they wanted add more sex appeal to Knight Rider & Hasselhoff was unhappy with the changes. After end of season 2, Hasselhoff lobbied the producers to bring McPherson back as Bonnie in seasons 3 & 4.

Why was the character of Bonnie replaced by that of April (played by Rebecca Holden) in season 2 ?
