I made the pogonip pullover for my teen daughter. She was disappointed with the neckline. I did amend the hem and made it without elastic. I will lengthen the arms for her and change the collar to a hood using the hood from Helen’s Closet Jackson Tee and Hoodie
That teddy fabric 😍😍😍 The pogonip is really great. I’m sure you could lengthen, just reposition the pockets if you’re doing that? It’ll be super cozy!!!
Beautiful fabrics Amelia. I would go for the lounge wear set. I love the look of the pogonip sweater, I agree about taking out the elastic. I might also lengthen it a bit x
I am making the Belle Dress right now! I plan to wear it to my son's wedding next month and I just finished my first toile today. I was slightly generous with my sizing and it turned out too big, so I'll be on to toile #2 tomorrow. The fabric is a bit precious and the occasion is the most special, so I definitely want to get it right! You're probably a lot more proficient than I am, but this was my first time trying a Style Arc pattern and I could not make any sense of the instructions at all. Luckily there are a couple of sew along videos made by some clever and kind people on UA-cam. I followed them completely and could absolutely not have done it without them. I will say the finish is beautiful and I'm excited to get the fit right. I expect I will make a lot more of them. What a lovely gift for your mother in law! I can't wait to see how you go.💙
Beautiful fabrics. Yes, you should contact the company about missing half a yard. They might make a mistake. Your dress is also cute I was waiting for you to tell us which pattern you use lol. Thank you for sharing❤❤
I am looking forward to seeing you make the Belle pattern. It is lovely. I live the Lyra dress that you already have and think the new fabric will be equally as stunning. As for the cozy green fabric....I see you wearing the Freya/Zoey dress more, but I do think the lounge wear set is cute. I say go with your gut feeling.
Stunning fabrics and ideas. I think a Froe would be gorgeous in that sweater knit and that green is so stunning on you it needs to be seen not just worn at home. That Lise Taylor fabric for your Mother in law is gorgeous too. Thank you for the fab video as always ❤
I have that Lise Tailor fabric too. It’s so pretty! I reckon that I’ll make a skirt out of it ⭐️. Also, I’m so jealous of that rainbow seersucker fabric. It’s so beautiful and cheerful!
I wish I could find snuggly fabrics where I live but the closet fabric stores rarely carry those items. JoAnns has a few if you want synthetic fabrics or fleece. I’ve noticed that stores generally sell what they sell the most. In the US we are noticing a change in fabric stores. Most young people don’t sew or do any sort of hand craft, so our market is being impacted by this. So sad🥲 I’d love to go shopping in Europe❤️
I have made the Karla set and love it, I don’t wear it out of the house though. If you do go for the Karla, it came up a bit big based on my body measurements, don’t recall there being finish garment measurements. The other thing is the top is quite cropped and it pops up when I lift my arms. I definitely recommend the pattern, and I will make it again with some adjustments. From watching you, I think you will wear the dress more.
Great plans! I love the green snuggly fabric for a lounge wear set. I’m going to make a lounge wear set out of the Bateau top from Friday pattern company (free pattern) and the pants from Simplicity 9272. The straight leg is really a nice silhouette for girls like us with some hips. And I love the pockets in the waistband. 😊
Thanks for sharing your lovely fabric Amelia, I look forward to seeing your garments. I’m not experienced enough to try the Pogonip but I love it, I would like one without the gathered waistband, it’s on my list. ❤😊
Thank you for watching, I am glad you enjoyed seeing the fabrics! I will let you know how the Pogonip goes - I'm looking forward to trying to amend the waistband.
Just found you on UA-cam. Love the green sweat fabric. I would sew a warm dress. I’m a great user of the Stokx Patterns from Germany. I do recommend the Schlupfdress orchestra Yes Dress. The instructions are in mother tongue English. Astrid/ Krimhilds Hütte
The green sweater knit fabric is gorgeous. I have the tracksuit pattern simplicity 9379 to make matching-ish 😂 lounge wear for me and my husband so will have to look for that fabric. 😊
Ooh Amelia I’ve just bought the Stylearc dress pattern, I think I’ll be adding an extra button to mine. Also I’m making the diddi pattern in the same teddy fabric, but I’m having difficulty in buying the zip…not easy to find evan on eBay…
Love the Carla loungewear set... I too am pear shaped so I would length the top a bit and taper the legs a bit too.. I'd wear it every where Its really cold here in my part of Canada and a dress just wouldn't do.. brrr.. I have to say though everything you make is amazing
Looking forward to seeing the Belle dress made up, great patterns and fabrics xx
Love the patch on the Jarrah it really adds personality to the jumper!
Thank you! I am really pleased with it as the jumper feels 'finished' now.
Yes, I’d like it longer too for warmth 😊

Thank you for letting me know! I will check the height of the collar before I sew it. Love the idea of adding a hood to it too.
That teddy fabric 😍😍😍 The pogonip is really great. I’m sure you could lengthen, just reposition the pockets if you’re doing that? It’ll be super cozy!!!
Thank you! I might even leave the pockets off this version as the fabric is just so thick and fluffy.
Beautiful fabrics Amelia. I would go for the lounge wear set. I love the look of the pogonip sweater, I agree about taking out the elastic. I might also lengthen it a bit x
Thank you! I think I will need to lengthen the Pogonip - it looks quite cropped!

I am a bit worried about the fit and think I might try a toile first as the fabric is quite precious! Look forward to sharing my progress soon.

Hi Mimi, I am wearing the Megan Nielsen Jarrah Sweater in the video and chatted about it at the start of the vlog. Hope that helps!

As for the cozy green fabric....I see you wearing the Freya/Zoey dress more, but I do think the lounge wear set is cute. I say go with your gut feeling.
It's going to be hard to choose! I think I am more inclined towards the dress though.
All of the fabrics are gorgeous! The patchwork will definitely make a beautiful dress! ~Nancy

Thank you so much! I cannot wait to get the Lise Taylor fabric sewn up - I think I need some for myself too!
Pattern Scout Patterns, has the Comfi lounge set (tee and pants). Very nice and cozy. ❤
Thank you, I will look at that one!
I have that Lise Tailor fabric too. It’s so pretty! I reckon that I’ll make a skirt out of it ⭐️.
Also, I’m so jealous of that rainbow seersucker fabric. It’s so beautiful and cheerful!
It is such gorgeous fabric and I cannot wait to sew up the seersucker too.

I’d love to go shopping in Europe❤️
I think that we are very lucky over here to have so many lovely shops to browse - although it is very tempting!!
That color of green goes with so much!!!

Thank you so much for the tips on the Karla loungewear. It looks like such a great comfy and cosy pattern!
Lovely! For your green fabric, what about the Victory patterns Jackie dress? Looking forward to seeing your makes xx
That looks like such a gorgeous pattern - very tempting!
Beautiful fabrics find

@@sewamelia I’ve seen one photo on Instagram where someone has changed the waistband, the lady used a waffle fabric and it looked great, good luck ❤️

Patch is a perfect match 😍
It is such a lovely patch!
The Belle is very pretty.
I like the look of the Karla set maybe it would get more wear
The green sweater knit fabric is gorgeous. I have the tracksuit pattern simplicity 9379 to make matching-ish 😂 lounge wear for me and my husband so will have to look for that fabric. 😊
It is so, so soft! I need to get it made up so I can snuggle up in it! Matching loungewear sounds so fun!
A long sweater dress would be great inside or outside in maxi length! I’d like that.😅
Me too!
I think the winter Zoe in that beautiful green sweater knit will look great on you
Thanks! I really like the idea of the winter Zoey too.

That was what worried me about the Didi - I hope you find a zip soon!

Love the idea of tapering the trousers. It's going to be hard to choose which to make!
😂 i think make the Karla in the green if its not too heavy
Pattern Scout would be more for a home lounge set.😐
