I love these duping the vibes vids Hannah! I love seeing how you use your creativity to creates palettes with the limitations of what you already own. I also think it would be cool to see you go into more depth on how much you used the last palette you created and how much it fufilled your desires for that palette and what might have been missing.
Comments about the ND palette on Trendmood made me LOL to the max. "Are these new shades?" Girl, what do you think? They are a bunch of browns and beiges.... The brand **probably** covered every possible iteration of those colors in their last 20 palette releases...

Hannah, just want to take a moment to thank you and Lauren for these let's dupe series. Everytime i see a palette out on the market, i've now made it a practise to sigle out the shades that tempt me. I hang onto those shades for awhile and if i'm just in love a month later, i purchase similar shades as singles and this practise has served me well. I love a super minimal collection and having 2 12-pan palettes of well curated and much loved single shadows has been such a treat.

I’m just throwing it out there that I bought the Danessa Myricks palette and I realized that I have dupes of a few of the shadows in my juvia’s place wahala 2 palette. Also, the cream black shadow somehow still managed to have fallout. The four highlighters in the Center are to DIE FOR, but you can get just those four in their own palette. ETA: I LOVE the way you edited the palette into the video! I looked away at the wrong time and thought you had the actually palette there!
I almost even bitched at her for snapping up the now sold-out palette if she didn't want it, then I realized it wasn't really there 🤣🤣🤣 I guess there is such a thing as doing a job too well 🤣🤣🤣☺️
Late last week I just went and made my own palette. It wasn't based on anything, but what I wanted to put in. It kind of looks like you did that if someone didn't know your inspiration here. I loved this video. Love Smidge. She's so cute, so I'm glad she made sure to make her appearance.

Man, that Danessa Myricks palette has done something to my body. My brain knows I don't need it; I don't want those pressed glitters and I don't really wear those colors. But all my other organs and viscera are screeeeaammmming buy it.
Omg same here! I love duo and multichrome shadows but rarely ever wear them. I also have a hard time buying individual shadows from indie brands, idk it stresses me out. But man I want this palette so bad!
I feel the exact same way. It makes my eyes bug out of my head and my heart race when I look at it. BUT what made me step away from the edge was looking at each of the shades individually and asking myself how I would wear them…and I was honest with myself. None of these are “my colors”. The palette all together is a stunning work of art but I truly don’t see myself wearing any of those shadows. I will save my money and just admire the swatches on the internet 🤤

I had both the ND face palettes in my Seph rouge sale basket asap, then they "sold out", the light is back in stock, but I am currently over them, can chill and can really dupe the vibes with my current stock. i love the element of adorable chaos that smidge adds. i tried (and failed) to dupe the vibes of the nars climax palette and ended up buying it and LOVING it... but i wanted to thank you for opening my eyes and mind to a whole new way to interact with my collection and new releases which has DRAMATICALLY reduced my overspending and buying things i end up not even caring about after the unboxing. now, when i DO buy something, i'm certain that it will be a) genuinely new and b) brings me SO much more joy than when i was buying every release that piqued my interest.
I know that a lot of people don’t like when the shadows aren’t all the same shape. But I love how that looks. And I think it’s a bit of a small sacrifice for having something that is not only exactly what you want in the moment no dud shades. But also the high high quality of singles.

I love seeing you create your palettes in no small part because i see all the shadows have little(or not so little) dips in them and it really has this aspirational quality of a curated and well loved collection. It makes me look at my own shadows with a similar fondness even if i would like to augment it with some excitement. But it will come in its own timeorganically And seeing your juicy swatching also helps me combat this feeling of "oh no i will run out if i use too much" cause cmon... The only ahadows i ever run out of are tiny less than a gram pans. The amount of pigment i actually have left is enormous and i should stop worrying and swatch and play and have fun if it will bring me joy for a second

I've honestly never tried to dupe a palette before but this is such a genius idea! I'm totally borrowing it next time a new palette appeals to me. Like a better version of shop my stash. ❤️
i really enjoy this concept. duping and reusing makeup we already have is such a nice, eviornment friendly thing we can do. i don't have a lot of shadows, because i gave most of my palettes away to my little sister, since i caught myself using over and over again the same two shadows i bought like 10 years ago (i know, i know lol) at the store with chinese clothes and makeup for like $2 and they are the best, most pigmented shimmers i've ever had. i also got rid of makeup from brands i find problematic, because i simply don't wanna use that stuff, so i'm left with the tiniest box of my favorite stuff. and it feels really good.
You turned me on to JD Glow. Their shadows are AMAZING. I would throw all of my other makeup out just to keep Peachy Keen. The pans are huge and the price is so good. I don't know how they do it but they are now hands down my favorite shadows.

I get them in size small! I think that I'm technically a small in most clothing but I VERY often size up to a medium because I don't like things to be tight under my arms. I think that they must be ever so slightly generously sized, medium is too baggy on me. They're also very stretchy.

I love this! This is a great solution for not buying the palette that has maybe a few things you love and many you won't ever use. I don't have a stockpile of makeup tho but i definitely have a few palettes that I'm giving another chance, trying to find what really works for me within them. I'd like to pop em out and make my own!
Saw the ND-Palette, instantly craved it and thought: Let‘s see what we have at hand. I already have everything, as it always turns out, although I cannot take out the products out of their packaging. BUT I can use the color story (which is bomb) and that makes me more than happy.
Oh I loved the outcome of this palette! Can’t wait to see the looks you create with it! FYI Salt New York came out with their limited edition Fall/Winter Duo. One of the colors is called Cocoa, and I I would love to see you review it and/or dupe the vibes of it with your current cream cheek products. Also, potential video idea: do a full face of makeup inspired by the tango dresses you’ve made over the years. So if your were to pretend you were wearing a certain tango outfit, you’d create a makeup look to compliment the outfit. Just a fun idea to that encourages you to utilize your current collection and create some interesting makeup looks. (Or even just makeup looks to compliment your current wardrobe.)

These videos are some of my FAVORITES of yours! They help me so much. As soon as I’m really lusting over a new palette you put out a duping the vibes and I realize I don’t need it. I’ve actually spent a little money on one or two single pan indie shadows that can help me do this duping the vibes palettes and costs me less to just get one more $6 Sydney grace shadow then a whole new palette. You’ve changed my perspective and I love it!

The inclusion of the wet-look shine topper (Cava from the gold palette) instead of another matte was genius and a huge improvement over the ND version and makes yours much better! I get so much more out of my makeup since I stopped buying new palettes. I depotted a lot of my favorite but neglected things & only purchase singles when I do buy something new. I played around with my depotted Coloured Raine shadows & created 3 new 9pans for myself that I looooooove. I need to get braver & start depotting more blushes & bronzers. I would love to make my own--perfect for me---all in one face & eyes palette.

And seeing your juicy swatching also helps me combat this feeling of "oh no i will run out if i use too much" cause cmon... The only ahadows i ever run out of are tiny less than a gram pans. The amount of pigment i actually have left is enormous and i should stop worrying and swatch and play and have fun if it will bring me joy for a second

i really enjoy this concept. duping and reusing makeup we already have is such a nice, eviornment friendly thing we can do. i don't have a lot of shadows, because i gave most of my palettes away to my little sister, since i caught myself using over and over again the same two shadows i bought like 10 years ago (i know, i know lol) at the store with chinese clothes and makeup for like $2 and they are the best, most pigmented shimmers i've ever had. i also got rid of makeup from brands i find problematic, because i simply don't wanna use that stuff, so i'm left with the tiniest box of my favorite stuff. and it feels really good.
You turned me on to JD Glow. Their shadows are AMAZING. I would throw all of my other makeup out just to keep Peachy Keen. The pans are huge and the price is so good. I don't know how they do it but they are now hands down my favorite shadows.

I get them in size small! I think that I'm technically a small in most clothing but I VERY often size up to a medium because I don't like things to be tight under my arms. I think that they must be ever so slightly generously sized, medium is too baggy on me. They're also very stretchy.

I love this! This is a great solution for not buying the palette that has maybe a few things you love and many you won't ever use. I don't have a stockpile of makeup tho but i definitely have a few palettes that I'm giving another chance, trying to find what really works for me within them. I'd like to pop em out and make my own!
Saw the ND-Palette, instantly craved it and thought: Let‘s see what we have at hand. I already have everything, as it always turns out, although I cannot take out the products out of their packaging. BUT I can use the color story (which is bomb) and that makes me more than happy.

FYI Salt New York came out with their limited edition Fall/Winter Duo. One of the colors is called Cocoa, and I I would love to see you review it and/or dupe the vibes of it with your current cream cheek products.
Also, potential video idea: do a full face of makeup inspired by the tango dresses you’ve made over the years. So if your were to pretend you were wearing a certain tango outfit, you’d create a makeup look to compliment the outfit. Just a fun idea to that encourages you to utilize your current collection and create some interesting makeup looks. (Or even just makeup looks to compliment your current wardrobe.)

These videos are some of my FAVORITES of yours! They help me so much. As soon as I’m really lusting over a new palette you put out a duping the vibes and I realize I don’t need it. I’ve actually spent a little money on one or two single pan indie shadows that can help me do this duping the vibes palettes and costs me less to just get one more $6 Sydney grace shadow then a whole new palette. You’ve changed my perspective and I love it!

The inclusion of the wet-look shine topper (Cava from the gold palette) instead of another matte was genius and a huge improvement over the ND version and makes yours much better! I love your videos so much. Do you have a video on places I can get eyeshadow cases? Or advice on depotting the eye shadows? I really want to do this but I'm so afraid to mess up my pallettes without know how to organize it all.😰
I get so much more out of my makeup since I stopped buying new palettes. I depotted a lot of my favorite but neglected things & only purchase singles when I do buy something new. I played around with my depotted Coloured Raine shadows & created 3 new 9pans for myself that I looooooove. I need to get braver & start depotting more blushes & bronzers. I would love to make my own--perfect for me---all in one face & eyes palette.
