      I think that’s what’s always scared me about psychedelics. Once you take too much there’s no going back. You don’t know what’s going to happen or for how long. I was addicted to pain pills for years and always knew even if I took a lot what the result would be. Usually vomiting and nodding out (this was before fentanyl was around, I’m showing my age). But even now, they have Narcan to immediately stop the opiate to save someone’s life but also make the high go away. The unknown of things like acid, mdma, etc terrifies me. I tried mushrooms once and while it was okay it wasn’t something I felt the need to repeat. I’m always in awe of the calm, caring and knowledgeable people that use these drugs. This was a great video.

      I dunno I was at shambles this year and I only saw a couple people with alcohol the entire festival. Lots of drug mixes of course but that's pretty standard.
      One of the few people I saw with alcohol was getting torn a new asshole by a big group of people for bringing that shit. Many of them were just passing by near the cloud gate and stopped because the woman had a big bottle of jack, and they were just stoping by to say she shouldn't have brought it and they didn't appreciate her bringing that vibe to the festival. It was super super encouraging. They weren't being super aggressive so maybe tearing her a new asshole isn't the most accurate hahaha, but I was super surprised at how many different strangers all took a moment to tell her how uncool it was and she should just pour it out.

People getting together loving their neighbor and being themselves free of judgement, taking care of each other and fostering an environment where education, safety, and harm reduction are prioritized and personal choice is respected free of shame. This is what human beings are supposed to be engaging in, not war and hate and violence and oppression. nearly brought me to tears, it's so wonderful to see someone so informed and understanding. i truly hope for a day where shame is absent for using these drugs. a day where they are regulated so we can be sure what is in them, as well. a day where education and harm reduction and safety and just having a good time is the priority.

    • @madmaximum875
      @madmaximum875 11 місяців тому

      Main problem is probably that many people never learned how to dose alcohol... they just think that drinking until you drop out is the way to go when a low dose of alcohol actually does feel way better and is of course way safer (especially mixed with other stuff... i for example love having a few beers with weed but it would suck to drink too much because of nausea etc)

    Man, I´d really love to one day DJ there!! The people seem amazing! Germany is the complete opposite, our partygoers are pretty scary if they get mad, we have lots of booze and speed in our clubs here. No weed, no shrooms, just nose candy, and it´s scary sometimes even behind the DJ Deck, I´ve had people grab me and threathen me because I wouldn´t play their songs, had to call security many times, and often stopped the music alltogether and made people aware I was being harrassed. ID LOVE for my public to be this chill xD. I myself am sober from everything but Kratom and very little alcohol (2-3 Coronas at most), so it´s quite funny to slowly see everyone get more and more wasted and agressive as the night progresses

    Thanks Adam great video! I would like to go one year. It seems to get better every year! Now will the BC substance acceptable limits is great! Went to monstercat. Was lots of fun people taking stuff and smoking weed. Then after leaving on downtown east side they are doing the hard stuff. Fun and not overdoing it on one side of the street at the event addiction and homelessness on the other. We need to fix that and at the same time enjoy our stuff at events. 😎😇❤

    that was emotional for me in a really unexpected way I haven't been to a music festival since High Sierra 2014....but have made it all the way to shambhala and everything in between and it hadn't occurred to me how much I miss my family out there. I live in Puerto Rico which I love but Chad doesn't ever come close to the bichote energy down here I dont even bother with the raggaeton scene and it just occured to me im almost homesick in that regard 😢 thanks psyched substances PS
    I have in sadder moments privately hated on you and your channel and not that you would have felt anything but bad for me knowing that But for my sake It was simply jealousy seeing you doing something I used to talk about but never did in a place i used to talk about doing it and doing an excellent job. anyways love you weirdos stay safe out there.
