  • After setting up the sawmill and cutting a few logs, John and his brother run int some trouble. From breaking blades to reinforcing the blade stop, the boys have a bit of work a head of them before they can begin sawing more logs. When their troubles have finally been solved, John and his brother decide to celebrate by lighting a huge bonfire.

    Since you have termites in the area, don't leave the lumber you stacked under the lean-to too long. Termites will find it unless you treat the soil.

      @@Theluckyneedle ​ @The Lucky Needle I use Talstar around buildings foundations, one ounce to one gallon of water. There are other chemicals available. Another method, which would minimize the need for the chemical, is to set concrete piers with a galvanized steel cap on top for a termite shield, then set your cross beams on top of the piers, then you can usually get away with not having to treat the soil, but it is a necessity to check the sides of the piers periodically to see if the termites have started a tunnel up the side of the piers. If signs of termites are seen, then treat around the base of the piers. I live in south Louisiana and have had termites in lumber that was laid on the ground for only a week.
