I have this shaft on my 718 AP1 irons and it is absolute great in terms of flight and distance. Strongly recommended for those that does not like the heavy steel shaft and slower club head speed. Have tried graphite shafts but did not perform as well as these shafts.
I have this shaft in my Titleist AP1 irons. Lightness of graphite, high launch and nice straight ball flight. The lightness of the shaft takes a lot of stress off my elbow. I highly recommend these shafts if your irons are starting to feel too heavy.
Hi Jason, Many thanks for the review of the Nippon Zelos 7 shaft, sorry I have only just spotted it. I am a senior with a swing that is getting shorter each year, so I am struggling to maintain my distance although I do launch the ball quite high still. I currently use AP1`s (5-P) fitted with Nippon NSPro lightweight steel shafts, but I find at times that the shaft launches the ball too high. Would the Zelos 7 have slightly lower launch numbers, to give me better carry? I have tried a number of graphite shafts, but apart from the Project X the graphite shafts launch even higher than the NSPro`s. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Bg
do you feel this would be a good choice for a competitive 11 year old. He hits his drive 200-215 yards (total); 6 iron - 140-145; 8 iron 123-128 yards, etc... He currently uses cut down lady flex graphite but they're getting to short and whippy (he's had them for 2 1/2 years).. I 'd like to keep the same heads (rocketbladz). Thank you!
Roy, yes good choice for a young golfer look at the Shimada U Lite and the new KBS SRT series as well, how far are you away from Basingstoke? Regards Jason
OK that is a long way away, look out for the two so that you have choice offf what shaft he like the feel of. let me know how you get on, my personal email is jasonmacgolf@gmil.com
