Came here from your Suzuki Clutch repair video, and all I have to say is you gained yourself a new viewer and subscriber from that video. Thank you for being a decent human being, looking forward to keeping up with this build.
New subscriber here....I started building an XS-650 Bobber as well. Mine is a thumb throttle, right hand clutch, left hand jockey shift and right foot rear brake. Mine is about 80% finished as well. I am about to start a UA-cam channel with a build of a 1928 Morgan 3 wheeler with 4 wheels hillclimb race car. I am still recovering from being run over on my 1957 Harley Panhead where I had my rear fender clipped which flipped me up and around a Telephone pole with my right leg nearly crushed in two. I am finally back up on my feet but now I am trying to get back in shape also.. Where are you located? I am in Pennsylvania.I could really use a hand..lol
Hi there, Black would be nice, but remove all the controls from the handlebar! In the next video, could you show us how the tank is mounted? And is it regular sportster tank or a "shrunken" one?
I really like that tank colour, the obvious choice for the frame would be black, however, the in some of angle the pin strips look a chocolate brown, could be an option for the frame.
Gloss black tins with flat or satin black graphic/stripe/design inset. Semi-gloss black or dark grey for frame and bars. Strip clear from aluminum parts, then polish.
Great video and I kinda like the gold, maybe blue/ black frame, there are soo many powder coat colors to choose from. Ryan, do you have another RYCA hat for me🥴🥴 they keep disappearing!
Voodoo Vintage hardtail or custom fabbed? Very cool scooter, I'm gunna go ahead and approve. I happen to ride an S-40 myself. It's a 2005 that I bought new. After I paid it off, started changing stuff, ditched all parts that were just along for the ride and painted graphics over the factory black paint. (flames in negative space inside a panel on both sides, done in metallic blue pearl bowling ball)
I'm actually kind of diggin that gold, especially with the patina. I saw someone had a three position toggle with a faux-ivory toggle for their turn signals and I always liked that idea, I think they said it was from a guitar. Are you keeping the front brakes? I know a lot of bobberheads ditch the front or run both breaks off the foot pedal to clean up the handlebars.
I'm thinkin a' matte black base with some ghost flames using something like chalkboard matte. Just enough of a difference in the finish to not notice, until you do... then again, you could stick with the bright yellows you like to wear at the country club on Sundays.... :/
Hell yea!!! Don’t understand guys with baggers with fucking radios and satellite and all this crap on their motorcycles …. Bobbers…. Bare minimum!!! No living room couch and cup holders!!!! 😂

I’d go zombie green frame, and the tank and fenders black

leave the tins gold and paint the frame black
Sand the paint off the tank and fenders, let the steel “age” and seal the patina in!
A matt black with gloss black flames flames with silver pinstripe ghost silver
I, having a 2008 Suzuki C90 like the gold. ( Mine is gold and white)I want to redo mine to all gold, I love that color on a bike
