Good Wood and Barbed Wire on Split Wood Acres Homestead

Split Wood Acres Homestead finds some good wood for building our lean to shed and we put up some barbed wire to close off the entrance. Bonus you get to meet Mike the dog! No scrap removal in today's video but I hope you enjoy coming along while I discover some wood treasure and put up my first barbed wire fence.
Split Wood Acres is doing a budget project of cleaning up our homestead and recycling the scrap metal removed from our property to better our land and environment. We are truly a DIY beginner homestead doing the best with what we have. Follow along and we hope we entertain and help you learn that you to can do this if you have the desire and a piece of property with lots of junk on it.

Thanks. You might want to reconsider using living trees as fence posts. Tree will grow around the wire and surprise a chainsaw some day. Keep at it.

Hey Keith! You’re exactly right. The trees I used had previously had barbed wire nailed to and encapsulated into them so I thought, maybe wrongly, that it would be okay to add some more 😂
But GREAT advice and you’re exactly correct!
