If she genuinely believed she was killing a demon, or whatever her attorneys are arguing, she wouldn't feel the need to hide him or cover up the crime. I'm reminded of this one story I heard where a father killed his son because he thought he was a robot being controlled by aliens, I won't go into gory details but he was still looking for the aliens inside his son even when the police arrived. That is true insanity, not being able to understand that you have done something unspeakably horrible.
If she genuinely believed that she didn't kill that boy, but instead killed some demon or something, then she wouldn't have hid the body or cleaned up the scene or prepared over a dozen stories to hide it.

Putting the blame on the father as well isn't a good mentality to have. I'm sure he regrets every single day of his life, leaving Ganon alone with that Evil Witch. Sometimes red flags just don't ring any bells with certain people until it's too late. He was away at the time, working hard to support his family. Not to mention he was cracking down hard when investigating her because he cared about his own son the most. All the blame goes to the Step-mom who was supposed to be taking care of him while he was gone.

In the calls with Al she also brings up premeditation without being prompted by Al. She says something along the lines of "people like me, people who have a life like me don't just premeditate things like this". Quite telling...literally. I also believe the recording she made where we can hear gannon in the background was apart of her premeditating/forming her plan in real time. It makes no sense to record that interaction...it just doesnt. Which makes me wonder why she decided to make that recording in the first place. I think she made it bc she planned to use it in some way in the aftermath of his death, to point back to, as a way to get away with whatever it was she was planning to do to him. I could be wrong...but it all points to premeditation in my opinion. Add to that, her saying she needs immunity...its quite clear. But i gotta give it to Al for being able to keep it together during those calls. His son was missing and shes literally telling him that she has information of where he was or what happened to him but that she had been keeping it to herself...and tells him she would continue to keep it to herself unless she got immunity. Just imagine! The nerve...I think i would have lost it at that point.

I watch a lot of true crime, hearing a lot of shocking cases, but this one really gets me... I can’t help but visualise what that little boy went thru at the hands of this person they were meant to be able to trust, someone they looked to as a parent. How could anyone do such a thing to a child, let alone the child they’d helped raise? The thought alone of what she did to Gannon gives me shivers.
My heart breaks for that poor little boy and his family.

Of course she was insane, how else can you commit this heinous crime? But that doesn’t mean she didn’t know what she was doing. She meant to kill him and knew it was wrong. Only crazy thing is that she thought she could get away with it.

If you believe that people have to be insane to commit atrocities then you morally excuse most of the atrocities in recorded human history. If you know what you are doing (in the full sense of the word, know), by definition, you are not insane.

I don't believe that this btch was insane, in the sense of the legal definition. She is obvious a malignant narcissist and perhaps a psychopath/sociopath but those mental disorders don't meet the criteria for being declared legally insane. She was smart enough to know that what she was doing was wrong by hiding her actions and behaviours from others. She's heartless and cruel and a monster, but not insane.

She's evil, to carry out such violence against a child to the level of absolute overkill she preformed is absolutely abhorrent. She's abhorrent, the way she tried to cover up what she did whilst yelling at Al for having the nerve to doubt her, whilst giving Landon and him the false hope in the early days that Gannon was merely at at friends house and that he'd return was torturous. I'm glad he kicked her out of the home because that action protected Al and Landon from hearing more and more lies from her. They had enough to try and face what the odds of their son being alive really was and with Leticia kicked out the home and Landon staying there signalled to the rest of us following Gannon's disappearance that the step mother was definitely lying to investigators and neither the detectives nor the parents were believing her therefore nor should we (not that we did after her back to the camera interview by Spencer. That was all about HER being angered by people's opinions about her shady actions and lack of too) Who does that, other than someone that thinks their sense of self is far greater issue than a missing child, and demanding apologies from her estranged husband, Gannons mother and the community was a good look for her? Deluded - yes, but definitely NOT INSANE‼️

If I was his father I would ask for a short time in prison only because I wouldn’t be able to put my hands around her throat and watch the life flee from her while she fought for her life, like my child did!! And that would only be after I did everything she did to my child first just short of killing her!!
I can’t stand those who hurt little kids who can’t fight back and are vulnerable. It’s literally the most disgusting a person can do! And then to throw him in suit case and over into water. I have to repent for the HATE I have in my heart for this monster of a b**ch!
