Dear Curtis, can you please make an updated Viktor guide like this one? Your work is amazing! The current Viktor guide you have, is outdated by 2 years, so it would be nice to have a new one!
big ups mate, your input was definitely appreciated Will just say, would probably recommended changing your league pfp if you intend to be a content creator lol
If you ended up downloading the matchup PDF, please leave your feedback about the content/format/layout below, so if we choose to do it again we can make it even better. Cheers, Curtis
Curtis... obviously you are very knowledgeable, nobody is watching you because they think you are not knowledgeable... but you have to let the Yone main speak. After 10 minutes I am listening to you dominate the speaking role, and all that time I have seen the Yone main ponder your statements. Set loose the guy and reap the benefits.
And this is free? Curtis has the best guides I ever watched and I'm learning best from here. No point in just watching pro matches without understanding foundamentals and champion. Shot also has very good and long mid guides but I these are even better. I would appeciate so much Yasuo guide
Dude I can't tell you how much I respect you. I don't even follow tryhard league content that much anymore but I'm still subbed to you. You've been putting out hours long of guide videos year after year. Respect.
this guide is phenomenal. best champ guide I've ever seen. picked up yone a week ago and stumbled on this and really appreciate the amount of effort that went into this, thought I was watching a paid course
sitting there talking for 3 hours long with another person must be exhausting mentally and physically haha , respect for both off you to commit so hard to this guide for a while. proud off the hard work put in here as a fellow yone enjoyer.
I just got into league and took a liking to Yone? And THIS is how I find this wonderful channel?? Haha probably too much to consider since I still need to learn the game, but I will treasure this video for a long time 😆
Curtis dude your content is so amazing. Whenever I want an in-depth, hard analyzation and breakdown of a new champion I want to try, you are always who I look for a video first. Ekko was the first one I ever watched of your guides, and ever since I have been hooked. THANK YOU for your dedication
Man you anounced/talked about making a yone guid back at the end of season 10 and i've wited for it since then, i'm so glad you finally made it. I've also started playing yone since then and i consider myslef a decent yone player knowing quite a lot about this champ but i will watch every minute of this guide just because i love your content. I've not seen this kind of quality and passion anywhere else, much respect for your work and keep on doing it.
The PDF is FANTASTIC lads. Visual presentation with the fonts and character splashart background is great, the links are great, good brief information. I'm a career university student/researcher, so this type of format works really well for me. Short but dense info read to check out during the lobby wait time. I would imagine this is the sort of thing which is easier to do repeated times rather than the first (font, text spacing idea etc). As a straight up product for me as a Yone player, would looooove more for other matchups now that the template is set For suggestions of improvement. I think the main way to make these a better product long term is to have some sort of queue about what champ you are playing as in the context of this matchup guide. The only indication of this being a Yone matchup guide from far away is... well nothing. There are three instances of Yones name mentioned explicitly, and all are small paragraph text. Obviously if you read it with context and the items and such you know it's Yone, and obviously if you find the link from somewhere like here or with other explicit titling ie a reddit thread of it being a matchup guide for Yone, this is not an issue. But, to make it a more easily identifiable and shareable product, I think it is important to show the character being played as too. Maybe their champion face can be cropped in as a triangle in the top left, maybe something else idk, not trying to give specifics here. A smaller piece of "Yone vs" literally above the big Yasuo title could've been good too I also think yall should plug the socials as well. When PDFs like this inevitably get posted in discord servers and all that, having a section on the bottom as links to the channels of whoever created the guides would increase traffic to the channel or twitch or whatever. Preferably in a way that is horizontally integrated with matchup info content as well (ie plug on bottom row left side, "the player with the better micro wins" or one of the micro interaction lines to the right of it) so people are less likely to crop the socials out somehow (you could also say "links open *in pdf format*" or something in case someone shares a cropped image then they're asked for the full pdf which includes the plug With these two changes added, I think the PDFs are now not only amazing pieces of brief matchup info for the player interested, but are effectively an advertisement for yalls platforms and what you do. Would legit be a huge advancement of matchup information and league education content creator advertising meta
I havent played league in months and ranked even longer, got into it in 2013 and never ever got into any yt channels for league except for you coach. Even though I dont play much anymore I always listen to your vids when playing games or doing shit around the house, so well presented and interesting, thanks hero
Man, you probably have the best educational league content on youtube. One small thing, I don't understand why you say you would go for the same build as a beginner every game, but then explain what builds to use for different comps, still in the beginner section.
if you dont mind, having the community update the matchup, items and rune guides will help keep this guide more relevant over time. Makes most of the work(the most difficult part) stick for longer than just season 13
Hey Coach Curtis, I know this is a pretty late comment but you earned a subscriber. A friend just recommended your channel to me and I saw this Yone guide. As a plat player I have learned SO much and I appreciate the effort into this video! Hoping to climb.
You a missing one '/' in the video description for the last beginner section. Also, no link to the PDF that I could find. Fantastic guide!! EDIT: A little nitpick I have is the lack of slowmotion footage for certain combos. you go through it verbally well but for people that are newer or just aren't as used to the speed of Yone, the focus changes too fast and it's hard to visually understand what is happening in the clips sometimes. For example, the Flash after the E + Q3 on the dragon fight into the Flash + R, it's really hard to grasp when the Flash occurs because the R is pressed immediately after. If these videos are from UA-cam, btw, and are played on the UA-cam player, then you can simply change the settings during the presentation or even sometimes move frame by frame (using the < and > keys). I think this could help showcase certain things clearer and even make the video sometimes shorter due to lesser verbal requirement due to higher visual clarity.
34:45 if yone doesn't waste q by walking around doing nothing, he can E Q aa w aa e and win the trade before sydra can cc lock you. More often than not you can E her stun in that case. This is not a case of downtime, it's a case of misusing 3rd q, arguably, yones 2nd most crucial ability. 3rd Q lets you set up your aa cancel combos after E and helps you set up R. Wasting it on walking near the wave and then going in with naked E is some silver shit. In fact you could probably E Q R Q aa w aa E and chunk syndra out of lane before she can retaliate/outright kill her with karthus ult. this was really not a good example of downtime given how the situation would play out if he lands everything followed by karthus. Actually a perfect example of competence vs expert.
Love the amount of effort you guys are putting into these guides, they're probably the best guides on youtube. Hope you'll make one for Yasuo as well, keep it up Curtis
Amazing guide as always, thanks for sharing this with us! I would love to see one for Anivia too, she seems pretty solid this season and has a lot of depth one could talk about with her wall and ultimate placement.
Absolutely amazing guide, really appreciate the extra effort you put into these! Also, huge props to Mysteries as well for helping out with it! I was thinking of picking Yone as my AD mid laner and this guide came out with great timing XD.
lol came here to take a peek and saw the matchup tier list. Then I saw Akali as hard. I felt that. tbf I played him a few times, but the matchup was harder than usual
I think R on supp is a good idea for some supps, like Nami for example. If you let a team team fight with the fish in the background she can carry so hard. Wave and bubble and heals and empowered autos it’s all aids. Free picks on enchanter supports are so underrated. Obviously don’t ult an Ali or Nautilis. But nami, Janna and soraka, why not? They’re not as threatening as a katarina but they will carry team fights.
I really like the matchup guide, but I think there should be more emphasis put onto the fact that some elements are clickable. I read through basically all of the guide before noticing the box that says that the elements are clickable.
I think the best champion for solo que is Karthus bot lane, it’s a lane bully that scales insanely well. It’s not good for learning league but once you have (it can make you develop bad habits) it’s freelo. When you can land q consistently and get a couple of kills you can definitely hard carry. I have m7 and a 68% wr over 90+ games on Karthus. He’s definitely overpowered as a bot laner, I average 8+ deaths because I constantly trade my life for kills which is great for Karthus. Gold on Karthus is worth more than on any other champ. Once you can hit q’s consistently he is very op, of course you will develop bad habits if you don’t understand league.
Thanks Coach! Do you think the crit item changes in 13.2 affect the itemization in a substantial way? I wouldn't think it would matter that much but with BORK nerfs and stuff like that I'm interested to see what you think
Hi MR Curtis i have seen your videos from France and it helped me a lot but is it possible to make a Katarina Guide because you already made a video about how to counter her and in the comments a lot of people asked u to do one and u replyed to them that one is coming but it was a long time ago. Thats why im asking if is it still possible or not. Because Katarina is Quiet a Hard Champ no just about mecanics but the way to play her in general (In the most efficient way) Thank u in advance for reading this message and for all ur content❤

Sylas is favourable, Yasuo is game dependant, and there should be no way that you can play around the tanky build, Yone is that kind of champion that needs to stay 100% crits most of his time (which is pretty nice that he can achieve it quickly compared to everyone)
