i remember watching this with my dad, and just side-eyeing him the whole time, because me and my dad's relationship, is scarily simmilar to Katie and her dad's relationship
17:38 well considering the fact that at the end Linda says “are you and Jade officially a thing and when are you bringing her home” I think the implications are definitely there
That and the fact she’s wearing a rainbow pin the whole movie. And that there’s rainbows and somewhat bi-colored rainbows every time the little animations pop up😅
This is one of the few movies that I cried not only on the emotional scene but through out the credit scroll. Yes. Upon learning that this was based on a real life family made the impact of the movie so much stronger. This is the kind of movies I wish I could've watched with you, it would've been so much fun laughing (and crying) to those relatable AF scenes! Hahaha
It's just really one freaking amazing film! It's so emotionally satisfying and powerful. Definitely, like wow, this movie was so personal. Hahaha would've been such a blast for sure! :D
This movie definitely deserves an Oscar for best Animated feature instead, as good as Encanto is, there's something special about Mitchells for me and for us.
I looooooooooooved watching you watch this! I love this movie so so much and I have so few people to share it with. I’m glad I got to share it with you 😊
Ahh I loved watching you watch this, it actually made me smile as much as the movie did. I'll be honest, while I did like the movie a lot, I personally had a bit of a hard time mostly with its use of rapid-fire, split-second fast editing moments that are so popular nowadays. While it makes sense they'd use them and it works perfectly within the film, they do give me headaches which remind me that I'm growing ever older lmao. However I have nothing negative at all to say about the movie's themes or how it approached them, I found it overall quirky and lovely and full of sentiment! I'm so glad you enjoyed it as much as you did (the loaf of bread is also one of my favourite recurring jokes), and thank you for sharing your experience with us! 🤘
Yaaayyyyy love to hear this! It's really a one of a kind movie. Oh yeah, I can definitely see that haha the editing is so frantic sometimes that, I mean, I was totally in the mood for something crazy when I watched this, but this can definitely make someone dizzy or something haha. And totally totally! The energy of this film is matched by only a few out there and the themes absolutely hit hard! Hahahaha the loaf of bread joke is one of the funniest things I've seen in years. Of course! Love to share these experiences, more movie reactions to come soon! :D
One of the best movie for me and also relate as art kid but its was opposite for me - dad always supported me and mam don't because of same reason as in movie damn!! (btw i am with short hair, glasses and lgbt symbolic as well lol so its ACCURATE for me as hell) 😅✋ When i seen in the end it was inspired from real family i start crying because its felt so real and true forme in movie already and its soundtrack ahhh 💔
Such a great film all around! Ohhh that's so freaking awesome, they really nailed it then lol! ❤ Aww, I mean, this movie really hit all the emotional beats, it's SO EARNED by the end, and the music and visuals aaaahhh can't get enough of this movie!
I am so happy you loved this movie 🥰 my 11 year old daughter suggested I buy it (I asked all my kids for input on family movies I should buy for our weekly movie nights). I had never heard of it before but thought, she suggested it, might as well… well I laughed so hard 🤣 it was absolutely amazing and definitely one of my favourite family movies (I have a few favourites) If you haven’t done a vid on these movies, please pick one that you haven’t seen. My favourites: Up Coco Mitchell’s VS The Machines (🎉his movie lol) Soul Big Hero 6 Please watch them and do a vid, I love watching reactions to my favourites
Ohhh that's awesome! That was a great suggestion from your daughter, excellent choice 💯 this movie rocks! Thank you so much for the suggestions! Unfortunately, I actually have seen all of those you mentioned, I love Coco and Soul so much actually! I will do many more movie reactions though in the future, so stay tuned! Thank you for the support 🙌
My relationship with my dad is pretty good. But he stopped living with us when i was a toddler. I know its not her fault, but I have a grudge against his gf a little bit.
A stronger message doesn't necessarily make a movie better. Mitchells is much more filled with originality and creativity. This film had a much more emotional impact than Encanto for me.
@@darquidarquiperfectly fine if you like it more, but while I think the Mitchell’s is funnier, they both have similar themes, of which Encanto handled better. “I have a quirky brother, therefore I have a disfunctional family!”. The conflict between the dad and Katie was fine but standard, and I didn’t like how the mom had to spell out everything, it made the message too in your face; vs Encanto which handled toxic family in a more realistic and relatable way

Sería genial que reaccionaras a "Encanto" y nos cuentes en tu opinión cual debía ganar de las dos...
Luis, la vi en mi vida privada y me gusto, pero esta pelicula es muy superior en todo aspecto.
Hey. Gracias por responder. Sigo esperando tu siguiente reacción de "She ra"

Oh wow, that must have been quite the experience 😅 I really hope everything come to be ok between you and your dad, sincerely
Hehe same. I'm a budding film maker while my dad is handy, tech-illiterate but we still love each other.
I mean, the movie specifically showed that both the daughter and the dad weren't being very healthy to each other so I bet your dad side eyed you too
Watching this with my wife, about 10 mins in we're like 'wtf are we watching!' and just kept laughing
That's so accurate 😂 it really takes you on a ise from the very beginning, I love how it feels like it's a movie directed by Katie!

this movie hit so close to home that it practically landed halfway through the door, I loved it
This film is truly mesmerizing, really one of my favs 🙌
Same here, I cried twice lol. Made me realize I really did wanna be closer to my dad.
I’m glad you did this movie! I laughed/cried the entire movie. Such a great film. How you felt? Same man, same.
I'm SO in love with this film, it's so freaking good. Wish I could first time watch it again lol!

Totally agree! This definitely should've won in my books 🙌
I love this movie so much! Its funny, good, and interesting plot with the robots and the father - daughter bond :D
Yesss so SO good and creative and heartwarming! Honestly wish it had won the Oscar ❤️

One thing that I didn’t like was that the theme of family was shoved in your face
Great reaction 👏👏🔥
Thank you dude! 🙌🔥
"I bet this object is going to have a huge emotional payoff by the end"
it does ;)
Yesss and it was so so emotionally rewarding and powerful ❤️
I feel like you had a flashback when Mrs Michelle went God mode
Not really tbh lol but it's a really fun sequence
I love this movie
Love it even more than the first time!
It's a jackalope

Me as a McAfee
I kinda forced my family to watch this movie, then ended pointing out who is who 😂😅
Too bad this movie was up against Encanto for the Oscar. You can't beat Disney at their best in years.
Disagree, Encanto was good. This one is superior film-making.
Really glad that out of all their recent movies, Encanto was the won to win, which was actually deserved that year imo

My relationship with my dad is pretty good. But he stopped living with us when i was a toddler. I know its not her fault, but I have a grudge against his gf a little bit.
This movie didn’t win the Oscar because Encanto has a stronger message and less problems than Mitchell’s.
A stronger message doesn't necessarily make a movie better. Mitchells is much more filled with originality and creativity. This film had a much more emotional impact than Encanto for me.
It didn't win because the critics dont watch animations. They think its just for kids. So they vote fir the standard big names
