Good morning! And you know, I wear many hats. 🤣 Most of them don't fit at all, they look goofy, but damn if I don't wear them. 🤘🔧👨‍🍳🔋
Speaking of solar, we were finally able to measure out what we need on this beautiful weekend and we should have parts delivered by Wednesday! ☀️

If you are just freewheelin the motor you only see wattage when you first hit the throttle. When it is just spinning free with the kickstand up it will not require any wattage. Remember wattage is voltage times current. You might have a full Voltage going to the motor because you are wide open throttle but almost no current at all because the wheel is just free spinning

It ended up being caused by a bad wiring harness here!

What does that cost? What is the wiring harness consist of?@@CozyLivingMachine

There are more electronic parts in there than in my stereo! receiver! Surprised to see that row or transistors. To bad they are all sealed in. In the mid-90's I had a German Merkur Scorpio and the heater controller went out. The dealer said the part was $600 (like $1200 now) so I opened up the part and found 2 transistors. Went down to Radio Shack and spent $5 on the parts, soldered it in and voila! Those days are so over!

Right?! Very interesting to see inside. The silicone they used is very interesting, I've not seen that at all. Cool to see how the brains of this little device works. I was hoping to do something similar with a repair, but I'm with you, those days are nearly completely over (unless you have some pretty intense equipment and skills like Louis Rossmann!

We live in a throw away world with industry kicking integrity to the curb just to support the fat cats bottom line with planned obsolescence but the right to repair movement is growing because the E waste build up is unsustainable

Nice video...i had the same problem, can't find the problem I replaced the display cuz it didn't wanted to turned on but the 30h error still there...changed some wire and still...but a new controller nop...just got a new motor the same but 5k watts Qs 205...and the problem still there...I'm going crazy and broke... 😂😂Now I think is the battery ..the bike rides but from time to time it keeps shutting off and the display ain't working right like the speedometer is not working and the bike is on high speed all the time and the battery keeps going up and down in the voltage ⚡ and when I stop riding the battery goes back to the right percentage....I though it was doing that because the error communication...now I think is the battery 😡😡

This ended up being that dang wire harness that goes between the controller and the handlebars. So much work for such a simple part. I suspect the components burnt out after too much use. It's a frustrating thing to chase down, especially when you've replaced almost the entire electrical component of the bike!

My new bike says error 30 after the chain popped off and now nothing works except the display. Can’t find any loose wires

Try unplugging and replugging EVERYTHING that you can find. There may be a loose connection somewhere. Mine ended up being the wire harness just went bad due to a bad chip inside not soldered correctly. That's most likely what it is on these according to the tech I talked to.

Don't be cheap and take it to the bike shop where they have the tools to check it out to find what is the problem.

What fun would that be? Nothing to do with being cheap, just curiosity and a desire to learn, share and fix things myself!
