Of course there are alpha and sigma and zeta and gamma and even omega women in a human society, just as there are men in these roles. Even each real wolf pack has one alpha female (and the females fight this out between themselves; the alpha female is not chosen or picked by the alpha wolf) - she's the only one who's allowed to mate and reproduce. The beta females are not followers, but rather fallbacks - they enter a state of phantom pregnancy when the alpha female has given birth; should the alpha female die, they can immediately step in and feed the younglings in her stead. But in a wolf pack, there always is only one -male- omega wolf on which the betas take out their frustration and anger. All the other positions can be occupied by multiple individuals. Also, Sigmas by definition are no leaders - they -can- take on an alpha role if they have to, but the point of being a Sigma is that Sigmas don't want to lead. All that aside, I've personally met more than one woman in the real world that clearly was either a Sigma, Gamma or Zeta. They scare the shit out of most men, because they all have in common that they are brutally independent and strong.
