Some themes I would highly recommend are UA-cam banners (Play Button, DanTDM, et cetera)
Some designs for elements could include a flame, a snowflake, or earth spikes

So, why won't it let me create any designs on my banner? I follow step-by-step but the only thing I get to is the "Red Banner" When I put it in the bottom left corner and make a cross, nothing shows up :/

I needed a coat of arms for my history homework. the homework was to create a new type of castle (1066-1215) and I decided to do mine in Minecraft. This banner added a nice touch of colour and looked really good! Thank you for making these banners!

What sucks is that some of these will be distorted if you try to put them on sheilds because of the pixel difference. Cool banner designs can be made look like just a big mess.

I built a world full of crazy stuff and I made a HUGE banner store where you rent the banners you want, place them where you want, and return them because it was to much work to make multiples. it has a limited edition end and nether set, and im gonna add these awesome phoenix ones in it too! the shop has like 100 banners including letters for giant signs and billboards and letters. I also have a whole section in it dedicated to food banners. I wish I could share it wit you all.
