French, Bengali, English, Hindi, Urdu, Odiya. And I did watch the screening of the film last week in an auditorium in Paris; after the end credits rolled, the predominantly French audience sat still in awe for minutes before clapping and cheering! This film evoked emotions like none other in a long time.
Your review made me cry.Just cause it reminded me how far away from home I am, how I can feel completely rootless in a building I wanted to be in all my life.thank you I speak bangla english and hindi.
Mumbai, a city that never sleeps. Partly because the city inspires the most out of its residents and partly because most have no choice but to sleep late and/or get up early in order to survive. I speak Hindi, Marathi and English. Understand Telugu to some extent and wish to learn the other south indian languages..on a very recent trip to Kerala I could get myself to recognise a few letters. That felt very good
I think Sucharita, you are also included in the slogan,Women telling Women stories, the way you champion these strong women eclectically bringing their voices to the fore. Love your individual yet profound impression of these amazing movies
The title of this movie makes me want to see it! I love how brown the ladies are in the clips that you added in this review! Hopefully it'll show in a cinema near me!
