I absolutely LOVED this reaction!! I'm excited to watch your "T-mac" journey!! If you decide to delve further!! There are several "Tom's" as you'll see. He doesn't only do "political/controversial" that's just what he's mainly known for are these types of songs!! Thank you for giving our guy a chance! He's 100% independent! His girlfriend Nova (the name at the end 😉) directs, shoots, and edits all his videos!. Her last name is a stage name not her real last name. Anyway, Tom literally has him, his girlfriend, his sister, her husband, and a few other close friends like 3 others that is his whole team that does literally EVERYTHING!!! Oh and Tom writes his songs (some help from Nova with the hooks), and Tom makes his own beats!!! He was a pro wrestler his teenage years in Canada (he's originally from Canada). He stopped because of the politics of it all, and he fell into addictions. He moved to LA (cali) to chase his biggest dream to rap. He did so but was rapping about what everyone does, sex, drugs, violence, etc etc and it made him fall further into his addictions. He had a mental break and moved back to Canada with his mom to get clean and his head right. He was there 9 months (give or take) and then his now girlfriend (they were friends at the time) asked him to move to South Central, LA with her after she willingly got dropped from Def Jam because they treated her like sh*t. Anyway, they went through a lot there. They tried making music together (that's how they fell in love), and they were broke, down to their last dollar, electricity was off and no food in their refrigerator. Tom had it and went to the porch and smoked his last half a cigarette (he's since quit), and in about 15 mins wrote his break out song "dear rappers" .... and the rest is history! Great reaction!! #HOG (BTW HOG means hang over gang, it's what him and his girlfriend Nova call us their fans!) Tom is an extremely eclectic artist. He’s completely independent so he makes whatever he wants. He’s not beholden to any record label. He’s a perfect example of decentralized music. He has a strong and loyal fan base, that support him fully because he’s genuine with us. I’d say he’s an anarchist, he sees the bigger picture, that’s it’s not right vs left, but 99% vs 1% parasite class. I guess you can say Tom is a counter culture artist, who if you listen closely is trying to get people to realize we aren’t enemies, our enemies are the manipulators at the top. Anyhow hope you guys check out more of his work. The System is him singing as the parasite class, it gives me chills everytime I listen. His song My Fans is amazing too. Pretty much all his music is great. I love too that he doesn’t take himself super seriously, he’s actually really funny.

There is a good chance Tom sees this, he often comments on reactions to his stuff. Your setup is pretty good, hopefully he does give you guys a shout out, your channel will definitely get a H.O.G. boost, he has a wide variety of songs and styles, they are always truth bombs no matter the topic. Pick any random song of his and you are going to rate it from good to mind blowing. I also find it takes about 20 listens to catch everything. You just can't digest it all at once. Tom MacDonald is an independent artist. He is not strictly a rapper, his music crosses genres. He doesn't have a "lane" he owns the whole flipping highway. Tom MacDonald is his actual name... Tom is short for Thomas. Tom, or T Mac which I've actually called him too, is great. His songs are usually about politics, mental health, addiction, or otherwise has some message to it. He's a rapper, but he works other styles into his music, like rock and such. He does draw a lot of hate to him, like an unreasonable amount, but he's also got a loyal fanbase. I highly recommend checking out more of his music.
If you like truth you will love this rabbit hole. As a rocker I was bored with mainstream music and found Tom when he did Brainwashed and dove in deep head first. Over 30 number one hits from billboard, over a billion views on UA-cam alone and he is fully independent signed to no label. Tom doesn’t use a “rap name” because he doesn’t believe in being fake and he’s proud of who he is. His message is world renowned and he doesn’t want to hide his identity.
Toms story:
Tom MacDonald is 100% independent! He’s had major record labels after him daily for at least 6 years and he turns them ALL down! After you listen to a few of his songs, especially the music industry and sad rappers, you’ll understand why. He writes all of his songs, makes his beats, and his girlfriend Nova Rockafeller shoots and edits all of his videos! That’s why dear rappers is so simplistic because they were just starting out really.
He dabbled in bands and had managers in the past, but that’s why he struggled so much and that’s why he wasn’t as successful as he should’ve been until he wrote dear rappers. That’s after he had cut everybody out and started doing things his way on his time with no middleman! He spent about nine months battling crippling depression. He contemplated suicide several nights and he was a severe alcoholic! After what seemed to be an eternity, he spiritually came out of that depression and quit everything cold turkey, not only alcohol but also marijuana and certain anxiety medication. Him and Nova could barely pay rent to keep a home after that but he stayed strong and ultimately wrote Dear Rappers which was his very first video to go viral, and the rest is history!
He shoots his videos wherever is convenient whether it’s in his own home, in his backyard, or in an alley! He will even go in grocery stores and randomly shoot a scene for a video lol. He personally signs albums ordered by his fans (for a short time with each new drop) and he also packages and ships the albums and all merchandise with close family and friends assistance hangovergang.com. He builds the sets for all of his videos! Also, he used to be a carpenter as well as a professional wrestler in Canada, he’s from Mission British Columbia. He spent some time in college but that just wasn’t where his life was going. He had some experiences with the illuminati, not sure for how long or what exactly the nature of that was, but I know that he left to follow Christianity!
The set for clown world was in his backyard l! He took number one on iTunes with “best rapper ever” beating Eminem’s entire last new album!! There are no music industry strings, so he can spit the truth, and they can't control him. They've tried to sign him so they can control him. He turns them down every time. He refuses to give up his right to free speech through his chosen platform.
People tried to cancel him, but how do you do that when he writes the beats, the lyrics, his girl Nova, films, and edits every video, they produce the albums, he personally autographs them and they both with the help of his family package, label and ship them to his fans. There is no label or backers who can be pressured into canceling him. He just flips his hatters the bird and keeps on bringing the truth to his fans. Well I am never disappointed the #HOG is in the building every time someone reacts to Tom's music. FYI H.O.G. ( Hang Over Gang ) We are basically his loud but respectful Fan Base. Wen ppl get to understand this man you will understand why we love him so much, and trust me when I say we love him A LOT!!!!! LOL. I am sure the #HOG has let you know the particulars about Tom. What he does and how he does it. All I can maybe add is he is a very talented artist who doesn't stay in the box. he has dabbled in many genres of music ,country, metal, pop, rock and many styles of rap. mostly known for his controversial rap songs. he has many #1 hits on the billboards and recently had his music blasted over the air waves on many radio stations across the world. He recently beat Taylor Swift and Sam Smith out of the #! spot with his song "Ghost" But if this song is more your thing then he have many similar to this with his out spoken lyrics and in your face bars. BTW Tom is well versed in ppl heating on him. The reason he can be himself is he is completely independent from the penthouse to the basement. Everything is done in house. I mean that literally he dose most of his videos and sound in his house with is girlfriend Nova Rockafeller and his brother in law Jered Potter. He and his fam own all the masters. If you want suggestions there are many but I always send ppl to the beginning for the song that got him noticed and that was "Dear rappers" just to get a sense of where he began. as for him speaking his mind there isn't a short list lol.
