Hi! Thank you for the video. I tried signing up for a few of these, and had some issues. But it seems PeoplePerHour could be a good fit for what I can offer. Just one thing I think is important to mention, which wasn't covered in this video. I got the following email after my profile was accepted: As a new freelancer, you have now entered a 3-month qualification period. This means that in order to keep your profile on the platform and to become qualified, you must have: - Completed 2 separate projects within 3 months. (These projects can be from the same buyer, but they must be from two different workstreams). and - Received a 4-star or more rating from buyers for the projects you’ve completed within 3 months.
I've used Preply a lot. There are some negatives for me. Students constantly cancel or reschedule lessons. There is no penalty for them doing as you are "encouraged" to always accept the reschedule and not charge the student. This leads to another negative. Students can leave a review even if they haven't had a lesson with you. If they have only made contact with you they can leave a review based only on that interaction. I've had students who wanted things like teaching kids (which I don't do) and they leave a negative review because I wouldn't teach their kid. A final negative is the fact that every time you get a new student the first lesson is always free. The teacher earns nothing for the lesson and there is no guarantee they will book another lesson. I've had students who admitted that they just book lessons with different teachers every week with no intention of booking more lessons with the teacher.

You forgot to mention, for the Preply you need to have a teaching experience or a diploma. It will be best if you can put in important details like this and not raise anyone's hopes up.

No one is hurt and both is benefiting from each other. what's the problem?
I hear that all the time and it's self-defeating. If there is a job that pays a salary you are willing to accept, then it's good. Maybe, it's because there are people in that country that can do the job. I teach English online but live in the U.S. I don't make enough for my total living expenses but I make a nice supplement to my income. It works for me and my situation.
