What is short and long vowel?
Long vowel sounds sound like you are saying the letter itself. Short vowel sounds occur when the letter is not pronounced the way it sounds. Long vowel sounds are created by placing two vowels together or ending the word with an 'E. ' Short vowel sounds happen when a vowel is placed next to a consonant.

Hi ma'am my 6 year old daughter get practiced very well in phonics because of all your videos. Phonics to reading small sentences, short stories are very very good but phonics to writing more than 3 letter word she is struggling even though she did individual diagraph, consonants blends dictation correctly she don't know to sum up or bring it up as a complete 4 or 5 letter word, how to help her ma'am. Please guide me
