@@giften600 He didn’t murder the dog with pre-planning. It was an impulsive act. He told so many times that he got scared that it was gonna bite his nephew, so it happened out of fear. And he felt sorry too, that's why he wrote it under "worst thing I've ever done".
Then what was the point in abusing him for what he was already sorry for?
And btw, only those who are vegetarian, can point a finger at him. People who keep killing chickens, goats, fishes to eat, don't have any right to raise question on that guy's humanity.

The guy wrote this answer for the question "What is the worst thing you've ever done?"!!!
He just honestly filled the form, and since he admits it's the worst thing, it literally proves that not proud of it.
It's an incident that happened out of fear & confusion, in the course of protecting his brother's child.
The show just thought that they'll just use this traumatic incident in Akash's life,
to create an anti-character that will contrast with Zabi's animal rights theme.
Shame on them for playing with people's image and dignity like that.
He would have been trolled and scoffed in his city, among his friends, college, social media, etc for at least 1 to 2 years after this episode.

I don't think the judges themselves understand the purpose of the question, "What's the worst thing you've done in life?" It's supposed to be a prompt for the contestants to share their regrets. Things they believe were wrong and are deeply saddened by? Why is that being used as ammo to ridicule the contestant? They literally challenged his self respect as soon as he walked in? And Neha Dhupia needs a psychological test before she's cleared for judging. She's clearly a misandrist. Getting in someone's private space is the same as shouting from 15 feet away? So she'll have the same reaction if someone molested her or shouted at her from 5 feet away? What a load of bs.

Zabi seems like your average 'teacher's pet'. That guy seriously said it was the 'Worst thing' he did. He was honest and felt it was wrong... Do you expect him to open a Dog encyclopedia when his nephew could've been killed? Dogs are domestic, sure... But mad dogs are capable of killing you with ease... Even people who adopt dogs know that they've to choose the right dog cuz if that breed is too violent, it'll just tear your limbs apart

2. He should've kicked it away... That's exactly why he feels bad about it and even goes as far enough as admitting it as the worst thing he did on a national TV show. He certainly shouldn't have killed the dog and waited for help as you say... But he didn't have the luxury to think in that fraction of seconds and pulled the trigger to save the child and if it indeed was a mad dog then I guess its no brainer that the kid would've died or gone crazy... While I do understand that he could've handled it better, only a few can do that much in that short amount of time where even a few seconds can cost you a whole life. So I suppose it wasn't the best way to act upon that situation but still not the worst since the dog would die in a few days if it were indeed mad.
Note: I'm only saying all this assuming it was a mad dog... If it was a healthy one then this guy is completely in the wrong and needs to go to jail for that... People don't even shoot wild animals when they feel threatened and besides, just a scare from a gunshot to the ground will make most animals go away if they are mentally fine

Ok ,let me break it down. If a person X has a Pitbull which is also a dog breed, these dogs have been known to hurt people and even children, in fact killing them as well. Even in the US they are banned in certain areas. If a Pitbull was attacking your child and you had less time to save them what would you do? Would you search for a stick(by that time they may kill son/daughter) or if you had a gun you would aim it at the dog and shoot it. So it all comes down to the intensity of the situation. From what he described, it was an intense situation, but in reality what happened who knows? he might have killed a dog for fun and just to add masala, made up this story by bringing his nephew into it.
As for the judges, they overreacted as usual. Neha with her sulky feminism, Nikhil with his lost pride which he knows he never going to get, Prince with his egoistical mind set and Raftaar with his baloney attitude,(which is rare in his case as most of the time he is logical and precise)
PS: There have been several cases like these in the US and people have only one answer i.e. 'gun'.
