Hi Trev and Sue a wonderful video and what a way to end a magical tour I’ve always wanted to visit Ypres and have got so near with Bruges and Ghent I bet it’s a moving place especially hearing the last post at menin gate Such beautiful buildings and a rich history Sue i know I said on FB but happy belated birthday looks like you had a lovely day and lunch! It’s so wonderful to see menin gate with the panels down and see the beauty and solemnity of it I bet the military parade was a spectacle It’s always sad when you approach the channel tunnel and it’s important to remember the memories you’ve all made and shared with us A wonderful tour which I’ve enjoyed following sorry I am late writing due to being poorly and being in hospital all the best to you all Daniel
Thank you Daniel, we enjoyed Ypres even though it brought the tour to a close. Belgium is a country that holds a wealth of history and culture and the cities are beautifully kept. Bruges and Ypres are stunning. We hope a trip to Ghent will be forthcoming in 2025. Thank you for following our tour and for the lovely comments along the way. We hope that you are feeling better now that you are home. Stay warm and well 👍🏻😃🚐💙 Trev n Sue x
Lovely stop off and end to the trip. I do find the Le Shuttle with pets so straightforward and plenty of space to give them a walk, and for the first time we got a full check of the motorhome coming back from France - wash room, garage and bedroom. A&J
Seems there are more physical immigration checks on vehicles right across Europe at the moment. LeShuttle is definitely our number one choice with pets even though there is a slight premium to pay. Thanks for following our tour. 😃👍🏻🚐🚐💙 Trev n Sue
Ypres has a lot of history and has a very strong vibe. The city square is a nice place to be with the cafes and restaurants all offering different kinds of food and drink. There are some lovely shops too. The buildings are beautiful 😃👍🏻🚐💙 Trev n Sue
Not totally related to this though Ieper is wonderful. Really just to say what a pleasure it was to meet you and Joe at Winchester on Sunday. Love watching your videos and would love to meet you again. Chris and Sue
@@chrisapplegate3253 thanks Chris and Sue, it was a great chat and interesting that we had so much in common. Hope you have a good winter season and a safe 2025. Catch up again soon 😃👍🏻🚐🚐💙 Trev n Sue, Joe n Sheila
Hello Trev and Sue, Wow the Cathedral is incredible, beautiful inside, such a lovely town. A nice stop for lunch looked yum. Back to Calais and the shuttle at the euro tunnel and homeward bound. Lovely video , take care x Julie and Tony x
They are both on our favourites list. Yes the Last Post is played every night. I can’t show this on my channel due to copyright strikes. Last year I had difficulty with a video with the full ceremony 🙂 Thanks for your comments 👍🏻💙 Trev
When you book on the tunnel journey, if you are a member of the caravan and motorhome club, do you get the discount? If you are a French resident and a member, do you get the discount?
If you live in the UK and book Le Shuttle via the CAMC web site and you are a member, you qualify for the club discount. It varies depending on the time and dates of travel. I am not sure about residents outside the UK but I am sure if you contact the club they will clarify the situation. 🙂👍🏻 Trev
The town looks lovely, it must be very special to be at the parade in the evening. A little late but Happy Birthday Sue 🎉
The parade is held every evening and it’s always a little different. It’s a very moving event. Thanks for the birthday wishes 👍🏻😃🚐💙 Trev n Sue
Beautiful town and cathedral. Safe travels, my wonderful friends 👍😊💕🤗🙏
We love Ypres 😃 Thanks so much 👍🏻💙 Trev n Sue

Brugge & Ypres when I lived a bit nearer the channel were almost my second home. Did the bugler sound the last post at the evening ceremony?
