The first game was probably the best Arena game I've ever watched. What a way to start a set. Really hard for both players to move on to the next game!
Wow that first game was insane for Vinch!! Daut's imp push was looking so good with poles I thought it was Daut win for sure. But Vinch with Berbers with 100 farms produced hussars and Camel Archers kept massing and defending, and ultimately pushed back! This entire series Vinchester was insane! Crazy micro, macro, strategies. He whopped Daut today. gg wp!
Just watched Game one. I am reminded of when Vinch used Poles vs Berbers when they first came out. A little vindication here for him perhaps. Also I wonder if this is who the developers intended Poles to function. Knights vs Camel and Camel Archers? not a problem kkkk.
How come Daut didn’t sell wood post imp game 1? He had 10k in the bank, if he sold like 7k of it that’d be almost 1.2k gold. That’s 40 shawarma knights or 20 and a couple bbc’s or trebs or something that could’ve turned the game back in his favor. 🙃 no hate for the lord and all, but the end of that game was stressing me out lmao
I really think that scout in the back of the base won the fourth game, like having to split your attention between securing relics and protecting your vils is hard
I see Japanese die so often to both early and late game that I so rarely get to see Kataparuto in action -- needing multiple trebs and the money to buy it is always difficult, but watching it go to work is a real treat.
I was always taught not to build your houses close together because they could be hit by catapults. By spreading them out, it decreased the amount of damage each house would take from a catapult. I don't know how much of a problem that actually is.
I haven't actually seen mid elo or high elo games where people are tasking catapults on houses. At a lower elo, there might be a situation where people could gain something by catapulting houses.
So why did Daut lose his army all of a sudden in game one. Everything seemed to go wrong for him all at once. He had enemy troops get into his economy. He lost his castle. And he lost most of his army. But it all happened too quick for any one of those things to cause the others. So what sealed his doom?
Imo, it was the 40 villagers on wood. Imagine he has 10-15 more pop space for farmers and/or more army. I think it changes the game and now he doesn’t have 10k wood banked up. Perhaps he could also sell 9k wood for ~1.3k gold and make a final push with the some Cavalier mixed into his army.
Game 1 was insane.
after watching some stuff casted by other people i really realizes how great of a job t90 does, so much more enjoyable to watch
Game 1 was incredible. Good cast T90
Holy moly Vinchester playing out of his mind

I can appreciate that Vinchester isn't advising Gerasimov 😂. The series was very good, game one was epic!
2:11:13 Mangudai runs through locked gate
I have a shot of rum poured and the first time he says "Aye aye aye!" I'm going to drink it.

That's a perfect Malay play from Vinchester!
Amazing first game! Glad i could watch it!

This vills that run in together with winchesters last hope push in game 3 was fun. They where just looking for gold and got shot by arbs xd
What a performance from the winner
No joke managing space like with the houses in game 1 is so important on closed maps

first match was nuts.
DauT probably lost because he had 10k wood leftover?
I never cease to be amazingly disappointed in the way Daut mismanages his trebs.
IBP also had a csgo team and their old 2014 stickers are worth a nutty amount of money.

Game 2 was just so clean from Vinch

I miss the good ol' days when aztecs used to have free loom instead of that weird +50 gold
WOWW🎉🎉
I feel trebs are the crutches of aoe2 no real counter and they just slowly kill everything
any melee unit, bbc, rams, mangonels, mangudai. trebs have the most counters of any military unit. they always need protection.
