My husband broke his knee in 3 places at work. We were told it would take 2-3 years for the surgery. We waited a year and they told us it would take 3-4 years. He was overcompensating and injured the other knee! I just happened to be listening to the radio, about how paying for health care was so horrible, and they cited a clinic in Montreal that did knee and hip surgery. I phoned them on Dec 21, 2021 and within one month of that phone call, the surgery on the initial injured knee was preformed. 9000$. But we saved tens of thousands in lost revenue, had we waited 3-4 years. STOP believing the fear mongering! Our health care system is completely broken and we pay half of our salary in taxes. I have never seen such quality care as in the private system. Eff socialism!
