Just to say, it’s not the SR-72 Darkstar, it’s just the Darkstar. The SR-72 is a hypersonic unmanned prototype currently being developed as a concept by Lockheed Martin
I know, in fact, in the title I didn't mention the "Lockheed" darkstar but "TOP GUN" Darkstar. It is based on the SR-72 ISR and mostly designed by the same people with some real parts too. Even though there are a few wrong things made just for the move like the navy logo and reinforced double front landing gear (this thing makes no sense on an aircraft carrier)
@DarthDesigner yeah, that is true. You see a lot of people talking about it like the airframe was somehow a real functioning aircraft, though it never flew, nor had a working engine. The double landing gear is likely only there because you'd have to touchdown at a very high angle of attack to have a reasonable air speed. Regardless, very cool looking aircraft, very well done. Understandable it took so long since it has some very complex curves to model correctly, impressive stuff 👏
@@aiden_heafield5892 Agree, they did a very good job considering it's made just for a movie (and even for only a little part of it..like 10 minutes). Btw I'll release the Lockheed SR-72 UAV as well later on. The structure is already half made 😎

Cobi has flat pieces for the underside. If you have left over pieces for the Cobi black thunderbolt II plane.
@@Someone-tk7sb Cobi is like cheating though. They 3D print any parts needed to make things easier. At this point I can 3D print the whole thing and it would be much easier that using bricks 😂 The challenge is to get the right shapes with weird shaped parts 😁🤌🏻
@@DarthDesigner I know, but that's what I would use for a cleaner look. Having stubs all over the places at the bottom kind of took away the smooth surface look. A few here and there turning plates and adding red or green circular lights does bring some appeal. Second, I don't use 3D printing and just don't have the time to create them. It's just a hobby for me. In the end, each their own style. Thanks for the video nonetheless. :-)

The cooperation doesn't add or remove features. The instructions are identical and they only add the bricks. You'll get what's shown here in the video but with their bricks 😎👍🏻
