Fun fact: that abandoned town was actually made by a company that wanted people to use it For free?
The site initiated by the Sarot Group has been abandoned since 2019 after the developers filed for bankruptcy with a debt of $27 million.
Edit: The houses were on sale for between $370,000 and $530,000.[1]
Edit 2: In 2018 sales eventually stalled, causing the developer to enter bankruptcy.[1]
The mayor of the town of Mudurnu Mehmet Inegol remained confident that the project would begin again.[2]
As of 2021, however, 587 of the planned 732 homes were started, including a few gardens, but none were finished
To be fair if you're making so many castles and selling them to people for free, sadly, you're basically ASKING to go bankrupt
Actually they were made for homeless people
There is also a never-occupied shopping mall on the site and and I think a recreation centre, but almost nothing is finished.
A surprising amount of those solid looking buildings is literal foam, there's no utility connections, the site is patrolled by pretty heavily armed private security
Urban explorers who were able to sneak onto the site found that even the relatively finished buildings were very dangerous to be in. A couple of the explorers walked straight into steel cross bars which were imperceptible in the dim interior (there was no power to the building and therefore no lighting).
The bars were exactly at head height (for reasons which beg for but don't really receive any explanation) on the stairway up to the tower (which had never had any kind of safety railing installed and also had an alarmingly slight thickness of concrete).
There were open shafts intended for elevators which were never installed, too.

The diving sign is genuinely terrifying, it's only odd if you don't know what's beyond that sign and what has happened there.
When?.?
Many deaths over many years because people ignore the sign, the cave is called the eagle's nest, look it up if you want to know the specifics.
@@apieceofbread5538 ah, thank you, that makes more sense now 11:11
Imagine just scuba diving and you see this sign. It tells you that death lies beyond this cave, while you sit in darkness, and silence.
@@fongus6420 You don't have to imagine anymore, there are a couple of videos of people diving down there if you look it up. Sadly, almost everyone one who has died in there knew this cave's reputation and simply chose to ignore it. I think the land owner still has the same metal grate over the entrance that has been there for years, but inexperienced divers just kept breaking through it in the belief that they could make it, only to end up as just another victim to add to the count.
Someone once told me that the existence of the uncanny valley implies that at some point there was an evolutionary reason to be afraid of something that looked human but wasn't.

That danger sign in the submerged cave is warranted. Even experienced cave divers die from disorientation, confusion, and thick silt clouds that can be kicked up by the diver which cause them to lose their sense of direction by blinding them. There is nowhere to surface for air in those tunnels. Even with the appropriate equipment death is still possible. There's a reason why cave divers find old skeletons in the caves they explore. Unless you plan on specializing in cave diving, please don't do it. It really isn't something you should ever do on a whim.
Just the thought of being trapped in a cave gives me chills it's def a worst way to go imo.
@@cherryvoid5238 yeah, there's a documentary I watched about what cave divers do, and hoo boy...they are always in danger. There's even a temporary 'sickness' they can experience where they have foggy thoughts and get dizzy from the disorienting nature of the cave because your brain can't tell up from down. It's nuts.
thanks sonic

The reason it literally made you go cold in fear is because that is _not_ just a man in a bunny mask. That is David Eilander, a.k.a. Mr. Rabbit, a Corrupted Soul. He is a magician and the younger brother of Jakob Eilander, Mr. Owl.

The underwater sign was built in the "Eagles Nest" underwater cave (i think) they put it down because people kept going the wrong waay in the cave, then getting nitrogen narcosis (its like being drunk but very deadly) and begin swimming down thinking they are going up, and drowning.

Damn, I absolutely love how EmKay narrators can change their voices!
"How many people have been dying for them to actively put up a sign underwater?"
Usually just one.
But the deaths are often tragic enough - and take enough of a toll on the cave diving community in the area - to warrant a sign like that, especially because thrillseekers can (and often do) take the deaths of others as a "challenge". Though the sign obviously doesn't stop /everyone/. There's always gotta be a guy who feels he needs to attempt it because others died there, sign or no sign.
On a cruise, when I had to go in my room, and was far away , i walked in these corridors with alot of doors and guess what, i was alone, walking in something like the backrooms trying to search my room. The corridors looked kind of like the backrooms, only difference is a carpet and doors
