It's also worth mentioning that the Wave mics have VST support built into the Wave Link software now, allowing you to import and configure any microphone plugins you want so you can get the most out of the microphone. I already enjoyed my Wave 3 before that recent addition, but with the ability to EQ my voice and set a noise gate inside of the software so I can have the effects transmitted to everything that I use my mic for, especially Discord, it's made this microphone essential for anyone who values top tier functionality and performance for the price. Great review nonetheless!!
vst support on the elgato though which is really good. but for budget wise ill go with hyper x since its an all in 1 combo with a built in shock mount good for beginners
Interesting review video. There are some who want hyper x quadcast due to variety of reasons (budget, somewhat easy for beginners & etc). I never thought about the other microphone & might be on the lookout for it in the future. I'm rolling with FiFine and Blue microphones right now.
you forgot to mention the main features of elgato wave 3 which is VST plugin to make your voice clearer and sounds like $500 mic in the market. for me landslide win for Elgato Wave 3 nothing to compare except for aesthetic RGB of this Quadcast S. thanks me later.
I tried the elgato wave 3 and it is a nice mic but i prefer to have the different mic options instead on being just cardioid so i picked up the hyper cast and going to use it with the elgato wave link to make it even better
@@PaddyTheLilGuy i use nvidia broadcast and i set up an aux input on wavelink and set it to the nvidia broadcast and than in windows sound settings i make my hyperx quadcast settings nvidia broadcast and same for nvidia broadcast i put my mic as the hyperx
It really shouldn't but it still may pick up a few things in the back but it really shouldn't be too noticeable and thanks to the Software System they provide you should be able to filter out the noise as much as you can!
I don’t want this to sound weird so I’m just gonna try to watch my wording and hopefully readers can be open to the idea. So I believe a female voice as an example for you to determine what microphone to buy might not be the the X factor for you to make your decision off of. Male and female voices will just have a different sound and feel. Just like how my voice might sound better on a yeti vs elgoto. All of our voices are different and with that being said you should make the decision if possible with testing if your own as well.
I agree, eveyone's voices are different. For me, since I am a female, I'd rather hear another female voice so I have a better idea to how it will sound for when I use it.
@@Kissa1021 it’s so worth it so quality I’ve talked to all my buddies on discord and they all say it’s stream quality. Not to mention the software don’t get me started the software is free and crazy crazy accessible. I’d recommend looking into a guide on how to set all that up but it’s so worth it in the end. Grab the pop filter from legato too.

Reading this is the reason I’m going with elgato, thanks man
I think the reason your stream picked up so much sound is because the wheel on the bottom of the quadcast isn't a volume wheel its for gain
This was very helpful! I was leaning towards the QuadcastS but after watching this, I think the Wave 3 will be a better fit for me.

you dont need those shock mount its an marketing strategy
The Wave 3 now also comes in white color and VST support is just a game changer. Still happy with my Wave 3 that I'm currently using.
Very thorough review - thank you!

This was the exact video I expected to see when searching it up!
When doing mic tests, it's better to not have background music

Awesome mic! And I have to say this, you are beautiful! Much love from Malaysia

Does the Elgato pickup background noise often?
