Read your comments on how you built it but I need more details. I truck patch for a living and the people who shell peas and bean in my area are high and stay busy. I meed my own sheller. Thanks, Jimmy
I don't think scaling it down would create a problem and neither would the manual turning as I watched one on YT that showed a guy who made one in that fashion. Although you would probably need special tools to construct the device.
Ron, great video and project. Got a question-I couldn't see how the shelled peas got out of the drum with the Plexiglass sides on it? Thanks, this is a very timely project with pea season here.
I had to add the plexiglass to keep the hulls from falling through the wire cage. The plexiglass is mounted at an angle so the peas go through the wire and slide on an inclined plane to the trough, works like a champ.

Thank You for the great video and information. Could You tell me where to find the plans for this sheller? Again Thank You.
There are no plans, I designed and built this one, no problem if you are the Jack of all trades.
Thank You for the very, very fast reply
hi ron? does it work if i scaled it down then use a hand crank to manually rotate it instead of using motor?
