Disney’s “Aladdin” - Direct to Video Sequels -VHS & DVD Review

This is a review of the 1994 VHS and the 2005 DVD of the direct-to-video sequels of Disney’s classic film, “Aladdin.” The VHS is of the first direct to video sequels, “The Return of Jafar,” while the DVD is of the subsequent sequel, and final film in the “Aladdin”
Trilogy, “Aladdin and the King of Thieves.” In “The Return of Jafar,” the titular villain from the first film escapes from the magic lamp that held the Genie and plans his revenge on Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie. In “Aladdin and the King of Thieves,” Aladdin and Jasmine are preparing for their royal wedding in Agrabah. Unfortunately, before the wedding can begin, they must stop the legendary 40 thieves from stealing a valuable wedding gift. In this film, we get to meet Aladdin’s father, who’d never been seen more mentioned before. Will Aladdin be able to defeat Jafar and save his wedding with Princess Jasmine?
