- Hawaii's Plantation Village in Waipahu is an outdoor museum that houses artifacts of the Islands' immigrant past and -- according to some -- restless spirits of the dead. In this episode, those who work at the site recount just a few paranormal events they have experienced.

I live in Waipahu for long time,and keep passing by Plantation like it's nothing,just a place,until I watch Ghost Hunters who got proof of getting in touch with Spirits of long ago,and we live in a house that is above hill of Plantation,there's a dirt road behind our house but our backyard has a wall that it's like not cross that road.Great,now I'm spooked
Yes born and raised in hawaii and I gotta say the plantation homes are the most haunted place to be its no joke over there.
I went out there, and hiked out down the old highway. I heard screaming, like bloody murder, coming from the lookout area. I stayed out there all night, until the sun came up, and never went up there at night again.
"Ghosts" are the immortal part of people. Simply, ghosts are people who frequently are upset because people do not see or hear them.
I remeber 2011 around February time, I used to always walk home from YMCA after my workouts around 10pmish. I'd take the winding road by plantation. Ya I meen I've always see some weird shit or know something's ther, I meen it's abvious Thers stuff ther usually it's dark ther at night, you would notice dark silly eye stuff moving around ther late at nite, I liv 4 blocks away
Decided to view this again and noticed just before door opens around 3:40, to the right side between the two houses by the tree, you see part of a child run past to the back of the house. Not sure where he came from, he just suddenly appears but you can't see the whole body as it passes thru then disappears. So you don't know where it really came from or where he goes to cuz he just vanishes. Then moment later the door opens up

The doll is the source of the demonic activity. The grave yard close by is also connected. That whole area is haunted, prayers for them.
It depends on how large your imagination is. I’ve been affiliated with this museum for 20 years as a docent volunteer and have never seen a ghost there. By the way, no one has ever lived in these houses. The village was built for tourism purposes as a historical site for people to see how the sugar plantation people lived. All the homes were built to scale copies from different plantations around Hawaii. Hawaii’s Plantation Village was opened for tours in 1992.

I've been here so many times. Always felt like I was being watched. And I was in elementary at the time
The freaky part is...when I was in elementary school we visited the plantation village a couple of times. One year, a few of my classmates refused to leave one of the houses because they said they were talking to the other kids. During that time I didn't really think anything of it...but now...hmmm....
I remember coming here in 1st grade and we asked if there is ghosts but the tour guides said "no only at night". I remember that night i couldn't sleep lol

Yeah the wind blew that screen door open. I live in a plantation style house and the screen door will slam open with a little wind if it's not latched closed.

we had a night job here for months and didnts see anything. only spooks we saw was the damn homeless living in the bushes next to the plantation. now they were spooky!!!

Don't know about this but Waipahu get some other scary places than this like the old cemetery next to the school at night with to friends b4 ghost try to mislead us in different ways by making sounds and appearing itself to us
if u look at the trees to the right, they begin moving a second before the door opens, that's because a gust of wind is blowing through...hence the doors is blown open...cause it wasn't closed good.
And there could be a open window / door at the other end which we could not see .... so if the wind blows through, the door will open. Happens in my house all the time

I used to go here for elementary school trips. In the 1st grade I saw a little girl going around with my homeroom class. Me and my friends waved at her thinking she was helping out. Omfg.
Liez... I've been there a lot and I haven't seen any ghost or any poltergiest and no, there was no pics of little girls in my photos of every house. ( I was on a tour with my friend alone ) no guides :)

If you want to find ghost hear um and see um , Pali look out is the best to me , back then there wasn't gates to the look out but now there is cant go there no more at night

One night I seen some dark silluete* things moving around beer the houses ther, it usually the road I take on my way home after I'm do e working out at night
I love this shit. Here in NZ, we have out fair share of haunted and tapu(sacred, taboo) places. Ancient battlefields, forests, mountains etc. As a Maori, you couldn't pay me to go to any of these areas. A natural 'chicken skin' radar goes off when I sense other energies/entities...AND THEN IM OFF...faster than Usain Bolt. These damn Spirits no that I can see them here then feel them and taste them... And not every one of them is here to do good.

Believe what you want, but I have the most chilling story involving the plantation. I myself only believe IN God, but I do believe these spirits exist. All my life I've been able to see the dead, too numerous to count, I don't see it as a gift because it sucks. You have no idea what it's like to see a spirit that is unable to pass on, stuck here with the living. Some are vengeful, evil. While others are lost. I even believe only God should have this "power", but I guess I was given it for a reason, whatever it may be I'm stuck with it. And its not a sixth sense, whatever you want to call it, you should wish for yourself to have. Its scary, and there must be a reason why we are not suppose to see them. So back to my story, my boyfriend of 8 years, his family owns this plantation. I think his mothers side, we went to a family thanksgiving and they live near the plantation. (The lady in this video looks familiar.) When we left the thanksgiving dinner, my bf drove, while turning the sharp turn that goes towards the gates of the plantation (pass the bridge), looking out my passenger window down into the tall trees with the dirty green lake at the bottom, I seen a transparent lady in white. I'm not sure if she was wearing white or if it was just her glowy see through body, anyway her dress was long (didn't see any feet), long hair blowing in the wind so softly, but her eyes... Her eyes were balls of red. Staring back at me, she stood near the river so I have no idea how she could've been looking right back at me, all the more we only drove past for a couple seconds. But yet her eyes were right on me. Glowing red. Like I said believe what you may, but I know what I saw. Another one is every Halloween they dress up this village for Haunted Plantation! Which I love :-) Halloween is my favorite day of the year. So I think in 2012, while we waited outside in a line to go into the next house which was a Japanese one. About 20 feet away, there was about 3 or 4 shadowy figures carrying a body. One of the workers stood in front of me and he heard me tell my sister that there's people carrying a body. He turned and shined his flashlight for a second and turned back, he looked scared shitless. Nonetheless, we went into the house and finished the Haunted walk through. These spirits won't mess with you unless you ask for it, or deserve it. I hope you enjoyed my true personal experiences involving this magnificent plantation :-D God bless you always!

First once, shit yeah that's scary as fuck. Second one, I think you might've actually just saw someone with a body and may need to contact your local authorities
One spirit I seen was back in 2008 one morning walking on the way to school , Stanford B Dole Middle School in Kalihi, the back field I saw a young girl in white looks around as she was 6-7yrs in a distance skipping amongst the gated fence , few minutes later I looked back and stopped to check for a minute, I checked if she was still there and to my eyes she was wasn't, thinking to myself she disappeared ., I never thought much of it at that time but until now I realize how we all see and come across spirits no matter where you are.
Pretty sure setting up a haunted house walk through on Halloween on the land of the spirits is considered messing with them
