Dude. Long time fan of your reviews. This made me so happy. I've been hoping you'd review our film since it first came out. So glad you enjoyed it, and I am sure you will enjoy Terrifier 2 even more so! Btw, I am hanging out with Alice Cooper next week and will have to tell him about that joke. He'll love it! Keep killing it!
Oh wow. Yeah, you did a great job, man!
Hopefully there will be a third. You have a potential icon on your hands. I hope you can get Art up there with the greats! 🤞🤘
Love your work as Art in this. He has the potential to make it to the greats in the genre. both you in Leone has done a good job walking the thin line between a horrific entity and a entity that are a clown.
I'm not usually a slasher fan but this clown is beautifully terrifying!
I don't always watch slasher films, but when I do, I watch David Thornton as Art. Great job my friend
this movie is built on David Howard Thornton’s performance as Art. Truly wonderful physical acting.
Terrifier - Finally showing us how frightening mimes can actually be!
What I like the most about Art is that he stays in character the entire time. When he gets stabbed he doesn't yell out in pain or have a real reaction to it, he does an overreacted mimed reaction. When he fails to kill someone he mimes fake frustration.
Seeing a horror villan actually get frustrated is so endearing!
Honestly, Art the Clown is one of the better modern horror movie monsters. You can tell the actor is having a great time with the role, and that really translates well to a great time for the audience. I'm looking forward to Terrifier 2
Me too.
Same
Hes a real mime
Terrifier 2 was a little too long but was definitely worth it!
What did you think? HOLY SHIT T2 was crazier than 1
"I am used to only used to seeing creepy clowns during Christmas movies"
Yeah... about that... guess they were taking notes for Terrifier 3!
I like this feature not so much for the horror but rather the tone of it that is just perfect for the whole runtime. Its raw and unapologetic. David Howard Thornton are so good in this. Im not sure if the sequel with work on such a long runtime but more Art is good Art.
The special effects in this is absolutely impressive. Like holy hell they're amazing
The fact he just puls out a gun and shoot just put the movie on my to watchlist!
i'm a little disappointed it wasn't a revolver cuz the bang flag bit is typically done with a revolver.
but yeah. still a cool kill.
The body language of art is amazing
Art the Clown is one of the best Villains the slasher genre has seen in decades.
I second that
Nah, it's the most try hard and lame
@@kuyarickkelley4719 i second that. like art the clown is more a jeff the killer than Michael myers
@@kuyarickkelley4719 Copium
Agreed. Way better than Victor Crowley and many other attempts I’ve seen at creating a new slasher villain.
Art the Clown gives strong "Gentlemen" vibes with the facial expressions and mime skills
I was thinking the same!
Wow, it's been a few years, and I never even thought of that, but now that you've said that, I agree 100!
Oh shit, been watching Cinema Snob for 10 years now. First discovered Brad and binge watched his videos during a bad sickness in the late summer of 2012, and glad to report his content has gotten even better since
Terrifer is a film I thought I would never like in my lifetime, but I have to give major kudos to the crew of the movie! Damien Leone and the rest of the cast do an amazing job with what little narrative there is to the movie; to help create a unnerving, gore-filled, thrill ride.
Art is the one horror villain who scares the hell out of me.
With all those job titles, it's almost like Damien Leone is the Robert Rodriguez of slasher movies!
This is honestly a fun movie for being new. I also like how instead of making clowns loud and colorful this one is quiet and black and white, adds to the creep factor.
10:47 All except for Freddy, he's probably standing to the side with his arms crossed saying "B1tch, I don't need bullets I got dream magic."
Also, Micheal Myers used a gun to stab someone.
The ideal mixture of 80s Slasher, 00s Gorn, and killer clown trope.
Not really a fan of the movie itself since it feels more like a gore showcase than a realized story, but the guy who plays Art absolutely kills it. Great emoting and physical acting.
I agree with you dude.😊
I hear part 2 is much worse with the gore
That's my thought on this movie as well. Great concept but sub-par execution and the special effects are hit-or-miss. The actors do a decent job and David Howard Thorton obviously is having lots of fun with this role...
Makes you wonder if he is a little off irl.
@@codyminecrack248 I think most actors are a little bit off 😂
I recommend this film to every horror fan. It's definitely one of my favorites. I cannot wait to see part 2.
Not gonna lie the pulling out the gun and ripping of the plastic actually got a chuckle out of me
Art the clown is definitely a good villain and the trailers for part 2 look so good!
Damn, thought we were getting a Tuesday release. Brad Jones and Cecil Trachtenberg have the most consistent upload schedule on UA-cam
Being a big horror buff but disappointed with a lot of new horror, I had put off seeing this. Then I saw Mike Bracken the Horror Geeks review on it and he spoke so highly of it, I watched it.
I was surprised how good it was ! Really good! Prolly best new horror character since trick or treat.
So it’s funny because I saw this movie a few years ago and I loved it and I ended up getting a chance to interview David and he’s probably one of the coolest guys in horror today. And since you’ve been my favorite reviewer the last 10 years, it’s just it’s so nice To see you finally do this
I LOVE this movie! I can't wait to watch the sequel!
11:56 STOP! HAMMER TIME!
Great review! Funny thing, there was a commercial for Frosted Flakes. Good job, algorithm.
3:42 "Thanks for announcing that, lady! I'm tryin' ta eat over here!"
A perfect watch two days before seeing the sequel in theaters!!!
Its been a long time since I saw it, so I don’t remember a lot about this one other than the saw scene, but I definitely remember enjoying it. Art was an effective villain. Looking forward to the sequel.
Every now and then I go back and watch his old reviews and this video brings me nostalgia
So not used to brad liking a movie on the show. What Earth am i on!!!
Oh shit! Snob's going after Art the clown!
Saw the first short one in 2011 and glad it’s getting a release in theaters.
And moral story kids: NEVER EVER PISS OFF A CREEPY CLOWN!!!😱
So are we getting Snob Terrifer 2 in Honor of Terrifer 3 coming out in a few weeks?
Love the White Claw joke Brad. Top notch review from my favorite reviewer
I love this movie. Like an unhealthy amount
Terrifier is a good modern grindhouse slasher flick. Hopefully part 2 has that same charm.
Just saw the trailer and it will have more of a story but still same kind of bloody violence and potentially gore since youtube is fickle with anyone showing fake gore
Saw the movie the night it came out. It was a trip, loved it. Thanks to it's run length I was able to get a couple extra beers in. Pro tip, take bathroom break when the club scene starts. Won't miss much.
@@stillhammered3060 i seen it opening night, it was awesome. I was instantly wanting to hop back in line, buy another ticket and watch it 1 more time. lol
I’ve loved Art the clown since Seeing All Hallows’ Eve ages ago
The best part of Monday!!!
October is Here!! 🎃
kinda wish there was a honking noise when he walked, or a balloon sound.
I'm glad you had the classic thumbnail type for this video instead of the newer ones with your face super imposed onto it. It's more interesting and creative.
1 thing i liked about the movie is you're following 2 leads for most of the movie, then it goes the psycho route by having the sister be the final girl.
i also like how the sister survives, but is kinda in the same shape as cropsey after it all. it even utilizes the '1 month earlier' trope very well, cuz you wonder who the disfigured woman will be. even if it does spoil there only being 1 survivor by the end.
also steve the pizza manager's head looks like the head cropsey knocks over in the burning.
8:52 why is that face so damn funny? Lmao!
Damn, never saw this movie but now, I sure will.
I love this movie. Bring on the sequel!
Damn right at the beginning, only used to seeing creepy clowns in Christmas movies. Lol You spoke it into the universe. I just saw T3 tonight. Happy holidays gang.
❤️ those posters you have on the wall. 🎃
Part 2 shot pieces at fright factory in philly. I shot my flick swamp zombies 2 there. One of my guys got the producers in contact with fright factory owners.
Amazing
A modern day slasher movie classic. Loved it
Man, this month is already showing it’s going to be fun! Also, next week I will die on the hill of me saying “I actually like Halloween Kills”; also Terrifier is a great movie
I loved Halloween Kills
So did I. It didn't deserve the hate it got. Yeah the story could have been written better but it was a good movie in my opinion. Not as good as Halloween 2018 but good.
I literally was in the middle of watching this when you posted this. It’s fate.
This was a fun flick. Seeing the sequel in the theater.
A perfect start
I'll have to watch this one again sometime. I watched it when I was in kind of a bad mood and didn't have a lot of patience for the more quirky, bizarre moments
2:28 That'd actually be pretty cool to see.
I have Don't look in the Basement on dvd. I bought it back in the late '90s.
I'm seeing terrifier 2 in theaters this Thursday night I'm super excited and super worried
Did you know it exist a Musical slasher movie? It is called "Stage Fright". Maby you can do it next year.
Watch out Lloyd! We dont know what happens when Art gets hungry
Glad to have you back. I just recently watched 1977's Suspiria in the theater with my film buddy. And I vividly remembered your review for it. 😅🤭
These are my favorite sort of review! I get to appreciate a film in a genre I for the most part don't have the fortitude to watch.
Pretty good movie, like i saw this in a marathon with Midsommar last month cause my S.O. was trying to gimme an education on good horror movies and the contrast between those movies was really interesting and made a horror movie fan outta me with how versatile the genre is..
Wow gotta say it would be hard to pick two horror movies further from each other! And they're both very effective, in their completely different ways. Good move on your S.O.'s side :)
Excellent choice to kick off your Halloween month, Snob!!! Another recommendations since you love Terrifier, Jon Watts' Clown from 2014 and Conor McMahon's Stitches from 2012.
Fast forward to 2024 & 'Terrifier 3" is #1 at the box office in America!
Dinner for Fiends joke in a Cinema Snob episode. My work listens smash together
Me and boyfriend watched Terrifier and when it got to "that scene", I cringed and clamped my legs together. He was went "Oh fuck."
I'm not afraid of clowns, but that breakfast commercial was not ok
3:07 If one thing about Halloween is for certain, it's that no matter how much time, thought, effort, and money you put into making a kickass costume, you're guaranteed to lose the costume contest to hot women in sexy costumes they bought at Hot Topic for 30 bucks.
I've been waiting for this...😆😆
Well now I HAVE to watch it
Holy shit that 1st commercial about the cereal was nightmare fuel!!!!!! The clown was almost as creepy as Art but not quite.
The key thing with killer clowns is that they are clowns. They have to be funny. Remember, you can’t spell slaughter without laughter.
I loved this review, so happy you covered it!
Awesome
Fun fact: apparently this movie was so terrifying that people start throwing up and leaving Theatre early in terror
Art the Clown just needs a hug. Problems solved.
Yah! Krinkles the Clown.
I remember seeing this and thinking " that was ok". I wasn't aware at that point that art the clown was a thing. It wasn't Intel a few years later seeing Halloween eve and saying " hey I know that clown".
Awesome👏🏻😎🤩!
Never stop doing the Cinema Snob. Plus, I hope you revisit Black Devil Doll from Hell and Crazy Fat Ethel again
This convinced me to watch the movie. Always seen pics of the clown but never saw the shorts or the anthology.
But yea, the movie was pretty awesome!
16:24- You'll be able to use that statement to describe Halloween Ends when you review it next year, Brad. People are reacting far more harshly toward Ends than they ever did with Kills.
Art the Clown isn't the most original of slashers. But a welcomed addition to the gallery none-the-less.
There's a reason this movie is a cult classic. 2011 Terrifier is my favorite but that's only because I have a short attention span, but love 2016 Terrifier 🤡
Did you see All Hallows Eve? It's actually more messed up than this!
@@river_acheron this was my introduction to Art The Clown
I'm just waiting on a Killjoy Snob episode, the jokes will literally write themselves because it is a killjoy for entertainment.
Love the Terrifier movie, the exact opposite of Killjoy.
Old comment, but I think Decker Shado reviewed Killjoy 1 and 2 if you're interested
My main man Brad aka snob👍👍
Hey, I'm from Illinois , too. Chicago, though.
Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen! Yay
"Lois Lane only talked like this when she was drunk"- unless its Erica Durance Lois Lane who in her own words "I am way more harsh when I'm drunk"
2:12 love you China snob you know how to makes the right jokes and on the right time.
Terrifier is awesome! What a great film ❤️
Finally, one I actually saw before! Laugh riot.
13:36 Thanks to the Tories, here in Britain, we now live in a post sugar world and all cereals tastes of sadness.
It’s crazy that Walmart just recently released the second film on VHS.
