Hello Hillary! I love how informative your videos are. I was wondering if there are any fish/inverts that are not reef safe but are better at their utility than their reef safe counterparts. I have a 5x2.5x2 ft., 180 gallon fowlr tank and the only lists I see online are for reef safe or reef safe with caution fish/inverts.
Ooo! That is an interesting question! Off the top of my head, I can say the Red/White/ Spotted Hermit Crab (Dardanus megistos) . I have one in my fowlr tank who is AMAZING at algae control. I've heard some people say that emerald crabs are one that aren't reef safe, though I've never had issues with them. I will keep thinking on the fish as none are immediately coming to mind
You are SO very helpful with your fish tips , thankyou ! 😊
