So they gave you the amendment to your flight plan for radar vectors to Cermo and then direct KOCF... Question, did you have to go searching on your map for where that intersection was? Is it your job to know exactly where it is? Or since you were being given radar vectors, does it not matter?
Yes you need to know where it is, because from CERMO I needed to go direct, which meant having to know what radial I needed to be on to get me to Ocala. The first amendment I thought was weird because instead of sending us direct from CERMO, they wanted us on V159 which meant navigating onto that radial, but they saw sense and let us go direct on the radial from CERMO.. In the event of radio communication loss, they would expect me to go to CERMO then direct, thus needing to know where CERMO is.. Hope that helps mate
