The chocolate coins are great for the feast of St. Nicholas. The kids put their shoes out the night before and St. Nicholas leaves the coins in them. My kids always enjoyed this.

Those raspberry star cookies are sooooo good! But my favorite trader joes holiday treat are the dark chocolate peppermint jojos. I seriously go through four boxes a season - just for me and buy them as gifts too.

Was at T.J.'s a couple nights ago, went for the Frozen Stroopwafel and they said they were sold out for the season; and that's what I went there for lol. Anyway I got the tin of Stroopwafel (they also have mini ones in a clear package) and I'm going to put vanilla ice cream between 2 waffles and add some caramel (the kind in a squirt bottle) 😋
Had a blast checking out the Christmas goodies and festive food that are great ideas for gift giving or a Christmas partay! Lol 😂

K, so I need to remember when I’m having a bad day to come and watch your videos because you’re like a comedian! So hilarious and real!! 🤣🤣❤️❤️ I loved how you told the banana bread to get out of here...and how you said you’d get the gingerbread house kit if yours would look like the picture. Haha That’s legit how it is for us...every year I buy a kit but they never come with enough icing and they always topple over. Lol The gold coins we use for St. Nicholas feast day (we’re Catholic)...he saved a family from poverty when he climbed their roof and threw good coins down their chimney. He’s how we have Santa Clause now. Santa Clause is much more commercialized but St. Nicholas is where he originated. Kinda cool! Anyway we put gold coins in our stockings usually. Also a good thing to do as an example of the 3 Kings bringing gifts of gold (frankensense and Myrrh...sorry don’t know how to spell! Haha) to Jesus. Merry Christmas to your family! ❤️

Wow I love it! We don't have all those variety of things and such good prices in the grocery stores in Italy, and I work in one of those but not so big. 🙋

Aldi has that same ugly sweater cookie kit for $4.49 vs. Trader Joe's version for $6. Both stores are owned by the same company. Trader Joe's higher price point is all about it's marketing (which is adorable). When I was at an Aldi in Berlin, Germany, I saw Trader Joe's branding on some of their nuts.

I have to drive 2 hours to drive to a Trader Joe’s. I now want to drive two hours. I did get some of that earlier on. Those butter cookies in the tin are so soft and airy. They are so much better than any I’ve ever had before ( trust I ate a lot. It was my papaws treat for us.). My friend bought the meringue things and liked them but I’m not a meringue fan. I also got strop waffle ice cream. It was actually ice cream not a cone or anything. Can’t wait to see what you bought. Enjoy some for me !

I live on the Indiana/Kentucky line, so bourbon is in my blood 😂 that cake is amazing. Pretty strong though 😂 I adore the chocolate Jack Daniels cake. Two of my favorite things combined 😂

I buy a similar honey at a Mediterranean grocery store. It is DELICIOUS! I asked the gentleman how they eat it and he said they eat a teaspoon full everyday for morning energy. You can also put it on buttered toast etc. 😊

First let me say I love your Stroop waffle back I literally have one every morning with my cuppa coffee LOL I set it on top of my cup of coffee and let the Carmel melt and then I’m in heaven. I love going into Trader Joe’s around the holidays because it smells so good. Great video thanks for sharing

I leave in Scandinavian. Beautifull Norway but I have never seen that candy. I have never seen anyting had that name either. I need to see if they sell them online. Here is 0 so it’s cold but sunshine so it’s looks like a christmas card outside. They have so much candy and things like that. If you bring with you children I think they want everything in the store😀

I am obsessed with stroopwaffles ever since I saw them on your channel. They are soo good and so addicting. I’m so glad my TJ’s is literally 5 mins from my house lol. I see all these comments with people saying theirs is 2 hours away. That’s crazy!
I make those cookie mixes for my kid’s teachers gifts every year for Christmas. You have to buy the mason jars in bulk (like 12) but it’s not a bad price. I also make brownie mix in a jar and hot chocolate mix in a glass mug too. So easy and everyone loves them 👍🏼
My favorite is the chocolate covered Lebkuchen cookies. They are unique in texture, I love the taste and can't get enough of them, and they are only available at Trader Joe's for the holiday season. Once they are gone, you wait a year to see them again. I have found them at other websites but they are twice the price, so if you like them, grab them nowwww. LOL

I grew up with edible ornaments, not just made of chocolate. Also jelly loops to hang on the tree.
I assume the coins have something to do with the legend of St. Nicholaus. He threw cold coins through a window of a poor man with his three daughters, who he could not get married to someone (back then in that culture the bride came with money and household items into a marriage, for some reason). With that money from Nicholaus he could. That is what St. Nicholaus day and the Christmas stockings are based on. So The coins are for the stockings.
Btw, in my country we get the stockings or freshly cleaned shoes filled in the night from the 5th to the 6th of December, when St. Nic comes to give his gifts. For me that always was nuts, an orange, an apple, a clementine or two and some Christmas candy.
The coins are a symbol of wealth or luck or both.
Get those big stroop waffles they are they best I ever had! And I have tried a lot! 👍😍

Our children have already graduated college but when I was buying teacher gifts I would purchase a $10 gift card to our local grocery store and include a $10 food/candy gift. The teachers loved the gift card because they receive so many sweets.
I've worked for Trader Joe's for 19 years now and I must say, your energy is refreshing. I'm glad you enjoy shopping there and finding fun items. The champagne gummy candy contain 0.5% alcohol so its there but not enough to check IDs for. I share your love of Stroopwafel and usually grab a few tins each holiday. The ice cream version you spoke of are a box of 8-10 mini stroopwafel ice cream sandwiches. They sold out for the season quickly so they will be back in 2019 for sure.
