This song was shown to me by a beautiful girl I was dating that I never expected her to have such a great taste. 14 years later still one of my favorites songs and thankful because she gave me this gift.
hell yeah probably lot younger than you too 17 been listening since I can remember my father is amazing I'm so blessed to have known junior boys this up in my favorites with parallel lines, like a child, and banana ripple but I have to say this is at the top
A haunting almost baroque contemplation on the feeling of dread that comes with the threat of violence. The slo-mo gives it a feeling of serenity, while the shots of the city at dusk and of Soho bring a little fear. It's beautiful, Mr.Kilroy would be happy i'm sure.
I can't stop listening to this song. I used to listen to it about 4 years ago and now that I've found it again, I need to listen to it. The video is very well done btw. I think that it fits just perfectly!
I am a drummer who loves all electronic music. Junior Boys PERFECTED complex and rich ELECTRONIC drumbeats on this album. Such catchy beats, synths, and occasional vocals -- with each track its own unique beat and time (yet you still can't help but bob your head). All this achieved without the use of the 'four-to-the-floor' EDM beat! Video works great with it too!
This is one of the golden nuggets that helps with self-reflection. May not have the views as today's hiphop mainstream hits, but in another decade people will still look up music like this.
There's some things I forget And if it's wrong, I keep it in check 'Cause what could I do If we go out tonight With that blood on your shirt? Would it taste like a brand new shirt? 'Cause I don't know Can you teach me how to fight? Show me what it's like to give that pain Show me how to fight, throw him down There were times in the past If I had the move, I couldn't make it last Girl, it's wasted in the night And is it really so hard? Tell your body to forget the words Pushing you too hard 'Cause I don't know Can you teach me how to fight? Show me what it's like to give that pain Show me how to fight, throw him down
Hi, yes I shot and edited it myself in and around London and Sheffield. Thanks so much for the nice comments. It's great that you enjoyed it so much. Cheers, Benjie
I've always wanted to visit England. Some of the scenes remind me of Chicago (especially the scene with the dimming light of the evening sky at the end of the video). Makes me feel homesick, and I'm AT home.
i listen to this song nonstop. the synth part during the chorus is so beautiful, and for some reason it reminds me of The Neverending Story. I have no idea why...
I saw the boys here in PDX last January, and it was sooo bad ass to see them in an intimate venue, just to hear the audio intricacies in these tracks. This song in particular made me feel like I was floating... sooo good 🔥
Very rainy September. Kyiv, Ukraine. The war came to my beautiful country about 7 months ago. I listen to this song on my way home, forgetting my umbrella.
That's definitely is London center!! Very good soundtrack just to have walk alone around Soho, Central line and surround great trip..I miss London life style...It's blood nicest place in the world xxxxxxx
Always such evocative and haunting music (still listen to No Kind of Man weekly), looking forward to new music from you. Too bad your tour does not include Montreal.
The video was actually shot in London, close to where I live ... starting on Charing Cross foot bridgeover the Thames river, the Underground (Tube) tunnel network, then various sites around Shoreditch, Bricklane and eventually Spitalfields Church.
Siempre he comparado a la música con la arquitectura. Crear espacios, llenar espacios, hacer atmósferas diferentes. Una belleza!!! No sé si resulte interesante llamarlos arquitectos musicales, ya no soy sólo estrellitas en el mainstream.
Such a great song. To me, it's basically electronic blue-eyed soul. Almost like modern era Steely Dan. There are moments toward the end that have a distinct Peter Hook vibe as well.
Ich widme dieses Lied meinem Sternenkind das ich heute verloren habe. :'-(((( Es zerreisst mich...aber teach me how to fight passt denn es ist wunderschön und tief berührend. Danke für dieses Lied
One of the best songs ever made!
Absolutely brilliant 🎶👌
maybe the most criminally underrated band ever?
With k os and Cut copy
I dunno man, The Presets are pretty far up there in my book.
Flotation Toy Warning
Always said that.. society is to brain numb to understand and accept this type of music only the small few lucky ones!
Absolutely

The best song on the century!I listen it since 2006 and it still has IT!
Me too. It reminds me love of my life. Love you, Marco, forever.
There's some things I forget
And if it's wrong, I keep it in check
'Cause what could I do
If we go out tonight
With that blood on your shirt?
Would it taste like a brand new shirt?
'Cause I don't know
Can you teach me how to fight?
Show me what it's like to give that pain
Show me how to fight, throw him down
There were times in the past
If I had the move, I couldn't make it last
Girl, it's wasted in the night
And is it really so hard?
Tell your body to forget the words
Pushing you too hard
'Cause I don't know
Can you teach me how to fight?
Show me what it's like to give that pain
Show me how to fight, throw him down
I feel so empowered when I listen to this. Easily one of the greatest songs ever recorded.
Love... They need to make more music!
true eloquence of the human spirit...beyond brilliant
I can't believe this video is still up, this was a late night UA-cam jam I used to play when I was younger, same video, what a trip!

best song for a night time road trip
How did I just discover this song now?! Had no clue it was so old! Haha. Love it ❤️❤️❤️ I knew other Junior Boys songs way back but not this one.
I've always wanted to visit England. Some of the scenes remind me of Chicago (especially the scene with the dimming light of the evening sky at the end of the video). Makes me feel homesick, and I'm AT home.

Please don’t bring politics into this.
@@checkoutmyyoutubepage Funny how you think mass murder torture and rape is "politics"

"Can you teach me how to fight...?"
This is literally one of the best videos i've seen on youtube. Hands down and thumbs up
Love this song!!
The lyrics have nothing to do with the way this song makes me feel. But it speaks to me even more deeply than the songs that talk about how I feel.
My 7 month old's favorite song...he goes to bed to this every night
You’re an awesome mom!

The song and video reminds me of old school Chromatics. There video for their version of Running up that Hill featured a lot of street scenes too.
