I like that high speed Polar Express 👍♐
Headcannon: when PE 1225 started to loose its magic the PERR commissioned an Acela from the Polar Locomotive Works. The OG 1225 now numbered 1226 is used for freight work and still has a bit of its magic left.
Perhaps this is a good explanation behind the Polar express freight set?

@@smyset1112 indeed it does! In fact if you search it up on UA-cam “polar express freight set” you will find some videos about it. If I remember correctly it’s even in some of the Lionel catalogs although it might take some time to find it

This is a very very cool set. Provides a wonderful blend between typical and fantasy worlds. To echo another subscriber I did not realize that Lionel made this set. To be honest there is only one person that I am happy to present this amazing set

I like the fantasy paint schemes because they can give us a glimpse of "what if" plus I have the idea of my railroad is my world and I am only limited by my own imagination. Great video and congrats on the Classic Toy Trains article.

Nice train set love the polar express
If you combine the hi-speed variant of coaches to the front after the combination car it would look so sharp and you would get movie, crewmember and station sound in the same set

Very similar as the 10th anniversary Streamliner PE they released a while ago. I like how Lionel is expanding the Polar Express range with different types of trains

Awesome Amtrak Polar Express Set Chris! I very unique set indeed! I have the original early 2000s Lionel Polar Express set with the engine, 2 tenders, and five passenger cars.

What a great introduction and review of this unique model of the Polar Express Acela by Lionel, Chris! So many interesting options to enjoy. Personally, I prefer the origin version of the Polar Express with the Berkshire steam engine like the movie, but that's because I like steam. But the look of that special Acela speeding around the rails is stunning! Thanks for this.
I agree that you can’t beat the original Polar Express steam set! The Acela version really surprised me. Can’t wait to put it on our traveling Christmas layout this November!

OK the Use of the Lego Modular Series Buildings for an O scale layout is Brilliant. Those look great
Thanks Andrew! When I first built the Corner Garage it occurred to me that I might be able to work it into a scene. I added a few more buildings and it all came together. Plus they are so much fun to assemble!

I am a seventy-two-year-old ho modeler who never misses your videos this was way cool. Come on Bachman or Rapido, we need one! I have a trunk full of Lionel.that my late wife got when she was 2. Haven't.been run in 50 yrs. Grandkids don't want them.

This trainset reminds me that i still have an ice 3 model train with a custom deustche reichsbahn livery and a specialized carriage. Along with that i also have 10 metroliner emus with one of the 10 contains a tiny jet engine

I bought the Amtrak Acela Concept and the add on pack and love it I wished I had more money and bought all the schemes that where made.

I almost regret not ordering this. At the same time I have other sets on order that better fit my layout. I hope you enjoy it.
THE SNOW ! On the 2 power units with black roofs, makes the look like a skunk. On the other cars, it just doesn't look right. YES, they should have snow on them, but it didn't look right. In my humble opinion. But this was a great video and lots of fun. You always seem to have fun in the train room.

Cool. I have a wooden Polar Express on the way in the mail. Mine is based on the steam locomotive from The Polar Express movie. It looks like a pretty high quality varient too. I'm usually not a big fan of speedy bullet train look, but you found a really cool model there. Very nice. Looks like you found a really fun set. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful details on this set!

@@RBPTrains Chris, the Marx E7s with power pull motors (large single weight & traction tires) are some of the best Marx produced. With just a little tune up they run and pull great and easy to work on. Here's a link to the Polar Express we did using the paint scheme Marx put on their WP diesel as our inspiration. An Acela Polar Express? Being a traditionalist I've kind of got my doubts on that, but if Lionel's sold out of 'em already it goes to show you what do I know? Hey, the hobby's a big tent with lots of room inside, it's all good. A very impressive model at any rate.
By the way, I heard the bell! Just a kid at heart I suppose. :)
