I have a 1944 Inland M1 Carbine beside me and a M1911 on my hip while watching this. Many years ago my dad and I hunted on Fort Brag during the season. I found some new style C rat cans somebody left behind. Don't remember exactly what there were but I took them home and cooked up and they were pretty good. I also found an empty 106 recoilless rifle shell container that I still have all these years later as a conversation piece. Good job all. Very period and atmospheric.

Our neighbors across the skreet had like six kids, when I was a kid(60’s-70’s). Their dad was an Iwo Jima Marine, shot in the back of the head. Those kids had dug tunnels and trenches all through the backyard, he showed them how. They all went in the Navy eventually. When we played war in my neighborhood, 50 kids really tore shit up.

I understand a bit how this feels to be out in a ditch at night. I'm digging a WWII style foxhole in my backyard, and even just an hour outside in there gets kind of old. But of course you have much more supplies and you have a whole trench and of course, you have people with you.
