The marked knit was so nice. I can see that in an everyday pullover. But the color range in the chain ply was so lovely! I can’t decide!?! I vote for the yarn.
That particular dye is magical ! Your finished braid was just so pretty almost too pretty to break up. Both samples lovely would be difficult to choose between them , so maybe what ever you were to make could use both, say a main body of the long colour runs and trim or pocket patches of the heathers. Just a thought about the wheel locking up like that , maybe a felted washer between the two finished surfaces to stop them bonding together under pressure might help. (Wool is so useful 😊).
I'm really starting to love that olive. It's so diverse! Those are some great suggestion for uses too. I've used a felt washer on my wheel before but I keep forgetting to put a new one in. Generally I'm adjusting the wheel enough that it doesn't get a chance to seize but apparently i haven't been spinning enough lately lol.
Hi Tamsin, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️ Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast. I love how your Fibre looked using just one colour. Your results were quite unexpected. 🤔🤔🌞😊 I love how your Handspun Yarn looks and how both your samples look amazing and beautiful 🎉🎉🌟✨️ Happy Dyeing, Spinning, Knitting and Crotcheting Fibre Friend 🎉🎡🧶🧶🐑🥰 Take care and stay safe Lots of love and Big Hugs Jen xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🐈⬛🐈⬛🫂🫂
I think a one dye of black would be awesome too! I am partial to then chain ply because of the coloring but I just love me some 2-ply - it just feels right. Chain feels too dense for me 🤷♀️ (PS I finished my alpaca fleeces for the farmer - 7lbs of softness!!) (PPS, now on to my own fleeces!! Ill havw to buy some dyes to start experiementing as well...)
And see i like the feel of a chain ply. I love how everyone has different preferences and that we have the ability to make that! I should try black. It's near impossible to get it to strike perfect so it should do a great one color dye. Congrats on finishing the alpaca! That's a huge accomplishment. And yes get some dyes and experiment. It's fun.
Hi Tamsin! I love it!!!!! Both ways are beautiful. It all depends on what you want to make. I need to get dying wool again. I prefer to dye the wool first. Take good care!❤
@@bffiberarts Oh I do! That was why I bought the primaries. I have heard that there are some colours that just won't mix, and it will give me better options like dusting colour on.
Thank you for the video. How interesting that you got a wide range of colour. I prefer the long runs of colour sample.
@@karenarnott387 i love how dyes spread out and change. It's so fun.
Gorgeous. I agree with you that the long colour runs look nicer. 😊
I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Whoop whoop you did it just the 1 colour. It's absolutely stunning xxx
Thanks baby!

@stonewallsfarm3105 that's kind of how I vote too lol
Marled not marked. Darned spellcheck!
I autocorrected no worries.
Love that dye color and your yarn is lovely.
@@LisaMyEclecticLife thank you. It was fun.

@@bffiberarts Clearly the wheel is telling you so ! 😆 . (It just wants all your attention ) .
I don't blame Lars (my wheels name). I have been neglectful.

@sallystevens2947 i think that's the general consensus. And yes get dyeing! We should all be having fun with it.
Very nice. 😊
Thank you! 😀
So pretty! You've inspired me to drag out my dye pots again.
(Also, I love your glasses!)
❤ Tamantha
Yes! I love being inspiring. And I'm embracing my crazy cat lady with my new glasses. I couldn't resist lol.
I like the long runs of colour. I gotta get some dyes to play with. All I have is primary colours.
Mix them up! You can make all the colors with the primaries.
@@bffiberarts Oh I do! That was why I bought the primaries. I have heard that there are some colours that just won't mix, and it will give me better options like dusting colour on.
They're all so fun. Just play around with them. But it is fun to buy mixed colors too.
That is beautiful
Thank you! I'm so happy with how it came out.
This was great! I'm going to try that!
Do it! So much fun.
Just place a bid dye order and got the olive! You enabler you lol never used acme dyes before
Squee! I'm so excited for you! I'll accept the title of dye enabler lol.
😂 I'm a sucker for marled
This marled so nicely.
