Instigator can now kill when the Recruits are dead, making this role a lot different to play. Potential strategies:
-Do a protective role simulation, you can claim that you protected someone in the night after your recruits died, to gain extra trust from the village (say you saved from instigator attack)
-Use your private message to ask your recruits if they are fine with selling (e.g. tell your recruits ''emote this when the discussion phase only lasts 5 more seconds if you are fine, and emote that if you don't want to be sold''). Selling can give you a lot of trust.
-If you want to sell, the easiest option here is Sheriff/Spirit seer, since you can list another player + the evil role in your recruits and potentially get the other guy lynched first
-When attacking, attack confirmed good players. Also consider killing other evil teams if they get big!

Aura Simulation as an recruit ww is viable though because you know exactly 5 roles (3 wolves, instigator himself and your instigated partner) besides yourself in the game which makes you the most informed player in the early game (and you know what team they belong to). (Edit: You also get the support from both the WW and the instigators for your fake claim. So you should have a solid stand. Your only problem is evils especially RK (which you have NO control with, along with the fact that they can kill you) killing your recurit partner.) If JWW is in game, tell the JWW in WW chat that you are going to do a play by selling him out as evil so that he takes care of important roles. This way, not only wolves will think that you are making a very good play for the ww (in fact, you are mega braining everybody because you are the instigator), village will think you are good (which auto clears you from suspicion) and you just removed 2 enemies from the instigator team. (This is also applicable for KWW. Though if you do this, try to convert your recruit partner into a WW so that you don't have to go begging for WW to kill your partner while also gaining more control on WW kills)
As an insti evil, do not do this:
    - Kill the informer role if your partner is a protective role unless known protective role is dead. This will bring to the attention to the village that your partner's role is instigated which makes finding you (or your partner) easier to find. This will be worse for you if you are a WW because wolves will bring their point that the kill on the role was way too easy when they expect some protection on them.
    - (Mentioned by Hypo) Revealing who you are instigated with to your WW. You are no longer part in your WW team. You only do this if the wolves are dead set on killing your insti partner for survival's sake.
As an insti good don't do this:
    - If you are a killing role, don't random or kill important roles especially if you are Vigi/Gunner. Villagers who will keep their composure will be the ones to place suspicion on you being instigated.
    - Basically stuff that makes you seen as a game throwing villager in the eyes of the village. But if the village is dense, then you might as well go all out as being seen as one for the rest of the game until it's revealed that your actions are for the insti team. No evil would want to kill a game throwing villager when the latter's action are helping them.
    Notes:
    1. Unlike couple, if your insti partner leaves the game, you are still part of the insti team and not of your original team. You will not die because your insti partner leaves the game. In this case, as an insti evil, you do not have any fear of dying due to insti ability but you lose your role switch strategy while as insti good, you are basically undetectable but you need to leave some evils alive to do the killing for the instigators to advance the win condition because your team no longer has the means to do so.
    2. (From the wiki), if the WW win condition (rk dead and ww have majority votes) is met while the recruits are alive, the game does not end in a WW win. Non insti ww have to kill the recruits for them to win, even if the insti is a ww. In that case, ww has to continously eliminate each other until they got the insti WW.
    3. You can encounter situations where only the insti wolf and non insti ww is alive (meaning, 1. and 2. did happen). This will lead to a draw to timeout because neither play have the means to eliminate each other (they cannot kill each other at night too) other than voting themselves (which only lead to tie votes). Shadow Wolf's ability cannot change this because the opposing wolf gets the double votes too. (That kind of thing can happen in row wars too where only 2 wolves on different rows remain.)
    4. Just because your insti couple is 1 villager/voting role and 1 WW/Random Killer, your insti good is not immune to being converted (but they will still stay in your insti team and they do not win with their converted team unless it's sect.). If your insti good, your insti team becomes unbalanced.
    - If converted to a WW, now your Instigators have more control in WW kills which can turn into a contest of WW kills (if KWW dies, you might want to do this on your insti partner).
    - If turned to zombie (insti evil is WW), then your recruits are going to die due to decay because they aren't the original. However, if insti evil is the original zombie, it's a double edged sword. While instigators cam grow in numbers for voting power and it's easier to kill your zombie teammates due decay, they can also turn your insti good and instigator which threatens your team because insti good is already mentioned earlier while for instigator, you actually lose your instigator teammate as they now work for the insti evil's original team.
    - If become Acco (if insti WW), oh boy, now Instigators have 2 kills per night as they have control for two killings which is more powerful than insti good becoming a WW. Though for insti bandit, it's going to be very hard since they are essentially choosing someone to be a slave to as they don't have a choice in killing unless they want to turn their insti good into an acco as well.
    - If insti good is sected (insti WW), it's an instant game over for your team. They no longer win with the instigators as they now side with the sect Leader (Game rules state that couples must side with each other, no matter what their roles are stated unless it's SL at which case they side with SL instead. This applies to instigators as well.). Though for Insti SL, it can get very powerful as the instigators grow in numbers for voting power but they need to remember to eliminate their sect members too by the end of it

      Aura simulation would be:
Day 1: Recruit is (actual aura). You have nothing to hide from this. Your recurit partner can just claim their role when asked (but they need to be careful if they are an important village role since they can be killed)
      Day 2:
      - Say the instigator is good. If the instigator is found, it doesn't automatically out you because insti's aura is good
      - Sell the JWW/KWW to remove important roles. As mentioned earlier, this can work to your advantage as you can gain trust from both WW (because you are trying to sheep for the WW) and village (they think that you are real aura)
      - Declare Aww/Stubborn/Summoner as Unknown. They are unk role after all.
      - Say that your wolves are good. (While this can potentially remove you from being sus from possibly Instigator list from WW POV, if village finds them guilty, you are in trouble for clearing them either as instigated which is normal for couple situations or is WW because that's what a wolf would do.)
Day 3: Same as Day 2 but your check is obviously different. You may want to sell the RK off if you think that RK is going to kill the recurits.
      Day 4 onwards: Very situational.
      - Remove dangerous roles that can be a threat to the instigators such as AWW (who literally takes away your control from WW), RK, etc.
      - If too many evils are in game, you need to find a way to get rid of them without outing yourself to the WW. Remember, as insti WW, you are like an RK. So you need to know to balance the proportion of Good and Evil village.
      - If the two of you wolves are left, try to convince the last wolf that the RK is instigated and you are not. This can get very wrong for you if they find out that you are instigated. This doesn't work if it's just two of you wolves as remaining evil since that wolf should know you are instigated (but if they are not good, keep playing the pretence that you are not instigated).
      - If there are no leads in a stable town, accuse someone (or even seer) as being instigated. If your recurit partner had been cleared by someone else too, then you are in a good position to do so yourself. (Be warned that you can be accused of being instigated yourself too)

    • @unknowed5048
      @unknowed5048 Рік тому

Late comment but as insti WW, you need to have an idea on who is the weakest WW. Sometimes, forcing a WW to run into a BH/Trapper trap is beneficial to you as you need to control the good/evil proportion provided you are not the weakest wolf. But you should not run into traps if you are the weakest wolf yourself.

2:44 There are very limited ways you can win as a solo insti:
    1. In a Bandit game, you want to leave the accomplice and last WW alive so that they can kill each other. No other outsider must be alive to do this. This also applies to two opposing evils who can take each other out at night (ideally, both of which kills at the end of the night)
    2. Leave the JWW alive and focus on eliminating the rest of the village. When the dust is settled and is left with JWW and last vill, vote the JWW out and hope that JWW takes out the last vill. (You will lose if JWW does not take out the last vill)
In these cases above, all of these are very luck reliant and you might not even have a chance to pull it off.

    • @unknowed5048
      @unknowed5048 Рік тому

The instigator's goal is the same as any other RK's goal, kill everyone except their own team. Hence, if the Instigator is the last one standing, the Instigators win because the only team remaining is the instigators even though the recruits are dead.
This is unlike the couple where if the couple dies, the lover team including Cupid will disband. The instigators never disband.

    • @unknowed5048
      @unknowed5048 Рік тому

The above tips are now outdated because Instigator can now kill if his recruits are dead.
Remember that you function like a solo accomplice when you are alone which therefore you can be killed by WW.

I feel like Instigator should have some synergies when a role is a recruit.
    Some examples:
When Spirit Seer and Werewolf or Random Killer (Serial Killer, Bomber, Bandit, Cannibal, Evil Detective [Random Killers who kill during the night plus Bandit because they can also kill) are recruits, Spirit Seer gains an ability called Frame. This allows the spirit seer to once per game mark a person during the day then during the night they will appear as your partner role. This will even stay when they are revealed the following day. This illusion will fade during that night.
If Marksman is a recruit they should be allowed to shoot anyone during the night though this will pretty much show the whole village that marksman is a recruit so use it carefully and tactically.
Gunner will not be revealed the first time they shoot. But the second time they will be revealed.
Vigilante will not be revealed if they shoot.
Warden can jail someone and shoot whoever they want or they can jail their buddy and give them the weapon.
Priest holy water is replaced with a poison like what the witch has. So basically they can kill someone during the day. They will be revealed though.
Medium and Ritualist can revive Instigator. If Ritualist has their spell on their partner they will be revived if they die. Plus they will still be part of the Instigator's team. Werewolf Sumner can revive Instigator as a normal werewolf and can act for three more phases, then die.
As Bandit the first accomplice you get will be part of the instigator's team but won't know who is recruited or who is instigator (to avoid salty people who don't want to be accomplice and game throw). Can also turn Instigator into an Accomplice.
All info roles (Werewolf Seer, Seer, Spirit Seer, Aura Seer, Violinist, Gambler, Sorcerer) information will be revealed to both instigator and their partner.
Stubborn can tank an attack for both themselves and their partner. So if one of them is attacked, stubborn will be attacked instead. This will kill them the second time. Also the stubborn got attacked message will not appear and the role that attacked the recruits will be silenced the next day
Just like stubborn werewolf, the same thing applies to Bodyguard.
Flagger can redirect all attacks and status attacks. Like Corruptor's glitches or Arsonist dousing people is what I call status attacks.
When Redlady visits someone their recruit cannot be attacked but Redlady can be attacked.
Grave Robber can steal the ability of their target when they are alive. When that person dies though grave robber will turn into Forkman.
Any Werewolf as a recruit gains the ability Backstab, which allows you to kill one of your comrades.
When Kitten Werewolf dies as a recruit, the werewolf team won't be able to convert someone but the kitten werewolf can select someone to be converted and they will be part of the instigator's team and be a normal werewolf.
Split Werewolf can bind to their partner. This will double their votes (only split werewolf)
Avenger and Junior werewolf can counterattack their attacker instead of dying. They will die within three phases though.
Forger's shield will protect both them and their partner once.
Astronomer can kill whoever they want and their sleep ability affects everyone but their partner.
I guess you can apply this to Cupid and the couple but I hate cupid so no.

Late reply but now Red Lady will not die and will be given a special message instead if:
      - Sected RL visits their own SL.
      - Insti RL visits the Instigator or their evil recurit partner.
      - Lover RL visits their evil lover.
Note that if RL is directly attacked while RL visits someone, RL will still not die and be informed of the attack.
As for Med/Ritualist, they can revive the instigator. Also for Ritualist, they can revive their evil partner too.

Anarchist is nearly impossible to win. In a normal game, you will most likely get a 1 mislynch due to Shadow WW. Maximum mislynches would be 2 if the village opts for a 1f1 in a CC.
The stars would have to align though for a win because you would need to lynch an unturned WWFan which for some reason counts as a mislynch.
If someone claims cupid, free mislynch in your favor as village may want to kill Cupid.
