Any car you modify from factory isn’t going to be perfect. Know the limits and you’ll be fine. Depends on your plan for reliability that is all. It’s a decent engine just has flaws like any other.

Taje Service I looked at a 2016 Q50 RS, great car but I left with a 2020 Q50 SS, with Apple CarPlay. So far I have AMS HE, no tune I drive to much. Looking at JB4 as I still have factory warrant.
J Flyg yeaaa that’s 2 new for me lol, I’m getting a 17RS because Its already depreciated and it’s cheaper plus I’m coming from 4 G37s so I don’t need all the extras really, but I do plan on modding my RS. Congrats on the purchase and Happy modding 😈
Imma have to install that LC now i see. Also couldve used your help bro 4 months ago when one of my injectors finally went lol. I just changed all of them at once.. also see if your local Infiniti offer a tsb service for your fuel lines.. i took it to the dealership to have the newer fuel lines.. apparently 18 and down fuel lines have small metal shavings/ material in the inside that breaks loose into the injectors causing it to stick open and misfire. Im not sure if the 19s received it but definitely 2020s and anyone who recently went in for that issue. Keep doing your thing bro, learned alot from you.

Are you pushing the gas pedal all the way down, before letting go of the brake on the launch? I'm tuned on Ecutek as well and some of my launches bog down. Can't seem to figure out a consistent full power launch. Thanks

What RPM did AMS set the launch at? Also can you change that RPM w/o having your tuner do it? (User adjustable) I'm STILL waiting on AMS to come out with the bigger turbos, the "RS600". My last mod when or if AMS releases them. Thanks.. JohnInNH
600whp can be achieved with RT turbos and pure turbos so I don’t see a RA600 package coming out with anything other than any of those two options. The tiene sets the rpm and it’s set to 2250.

Is your trans tuned as well? One guy on the Supra forums has a RSawd and will spin his tires through 3rd on a launch. He said he upped the line pressure and trans tune.....good to go
VR30 doesn’t have a transmission tune available. All we have is adjusted torque tables which allow a little bit of fluctuation in line pressures in between shifts for crisper shifts.
@@EnthusiastPOV I hope Nissan fixes this going forward. That is a limiting factor for advancing the platform. Maybe a piggyback plug n play unit could be developed if not. Kinda like a jb4

I recommend choosing a good tuner that you feel comfortable with, that is going to be key. Discuss your power goals with your tuner and make a plan!

I’ve only been there twice. Once for trans service, another for turbo replacement. Apart from that I do all my own maintenance

It cannot be tuned. Torque tables are managed at the ECM, not the TCM.

It’s not just an app. You need a tune to access it. It’s about $1500 for the calibration with Bluetooth access.
Miss the Q60, does Ecutek now have launch control or do you just have AWD model?
Those are two separate questions. Ecutek has had launch control for 9-10 months now. And yes I do have an AWD.

Holding the brake pedal engages the launch control parameter. Just have to gas down all the way same time.

Depends on your trim. Just a tune alone to the cars you end up with 410-420whp/480wtq or so. On any trim. It’s the same engine
