I’m surprised I never noticed that before because those cars were the kind we had when I was in drivers education a long time ago in high school with the radio all the way to the left that keeps everybody from messing with your station while driving. I love it.
My parents had one in 69 they kept it about 12 years r longer i started school in 69 I grew up driving that car it was a great car alot of top end rode really smooth theirs was black with exact same interior that video brought back alot of great memories
This car brings back memories when I was 16 just got my drivers license my parents just bought a silver 69 LTD but they wanted a sky blue one on the lot but it was being held. Later only two weeks they let me drive it just the store to get bread and it was raining and on the way back home I was trying to adjust the music on the radio and run off the road then oversteered hit a street light then rolled it. I had no lap belt on hahaha and I was thrown in the back seat and survived and if I had the lap belt I would be dead because the front seat forward was crushed. sorry for the long story but later after my parents got their insurance they went back to the same car lot and the sky blue LTD they originally wanted was still their and not on hold sooooo they ended up with their first love......all thanks to me.
Ah Springtime yellow ! Same color as my old 68 Galaxie 500. Was looking for parts at Fords in Carlise. Stopped at an old timers stand and asked You get any parts for a 68 Galaxie. The old bird asked. What for motor that Galaxie got? I replied just a 302. He said to me it should have a 390 that would smoke em!!! Love the dash in that 69 LTD. Get the bumper chromed and a new top. Then have fun restoring. Darned I am interested in this one Nick....
My parents had a new 1969 LTD. They put 77,000 miles on it in less than 3 years. It was fairly troublesome but my father’s lack of maintenance and his very aggressive driving habits didn’t help much either.
@@THROTTLEPOWER thanks. What a smooth ride 👌 I hung out with buddy for around 10 minutes while they were filming a little murder scene when a call girl got pushed off a balcony!
when I was 10 years old my dad bought a 69 LTD brand new can remember when he pulled into the drive with it I thought it was a cool car his was white with a black vinyl top with black interior he took us all to A&W for a root beer float 😎
Nice example of almost mint 69 LTD coupe that390 blue oval has some pep land yacht is loaded hide away front lights & hugs trunk size of a 1 bedroom apartment
I had a 69 xl....with a 390, same car, but had the drop back sport roof....I now am on my 3rd 1969 LTD. This one has the 351 windsor....I was born in 1969 and my monogram is LTD....seems only fitting
It is 16゚ Here in Waynesville Missouri right now. The wind is blowing pretty hard I don't know what the wind chill factor is Let me check. wind chill factor is -4
My Dad's first brand new car. My first car. It had 190,000 miles on it. I blew the motor then put a 390 Eliminator in it... I would give a pinky toe or skin off my saggy nuts to have that car.
I like the car, but 1969 was THE year full-sized American cars from Ford, GM, and Chrysler were beginning to take on the more modern and sterile 70’s look. A starter on the steering wheel columm instead of the dashboard, a steering wheel not made out of steel and with a ring for a horn, headrests in the front seats, and the like. That appearance went on until 1977 when they made huge alterations again. And like their mid-size and sports car models, they went on a year later.
Gee, got my wife screaming at me, I got her to sell her ford, for a 4x4 . We live in snow country, price SMH, yeah she screaming of worthness value. Never going to hear the end of it.

I love all these old cars I'd buy one and restore it and use it as a daily driver if I could but it just doesn't make sense to have to un necessary spend 4 or five bucks for premium fuel. # FJB
Brings back memories. It was the last car my dad owned except he had the 429 under the hood😉💯
Friends had a 429. Fun Car.
I’m surprised I never noticed that before because those cars were the kind we had when I was in drivers education a long time ago in high school with the radio all the way to the left that keeps everybody from messing with your station while driving. I love it.

My dad used to own a 69 Ford XL. I had enjoyed driving that car in high school.
My parents had a new 1969 LTD. They put 77,000 miles on it in less than 3 years. It was fairly troublesome but my father’s lack of maintenance and his very aggressive driving habits didn’t help much either.
Passed my driver's test in same model as this only dark green with black vinyl top on June 29,1973 my 16th birthday! I miss that car.
Could you send me a picture of the 1969 Ford LTD for my phone?
Love the big land cruiser
Same car but a different year Buddy Ebsen drove on Barnaby Jones. An old TV series from the 70s. I met him on the set when I was about 10 or 11 .

This is a great car. Solid and seems dependable. Good first car.
It's very likely that some teenagers have snuck into a drive-in in that trunk.
Very beautiful amazing car thanks Nick
My dad had a light blue one, 390 with dark blue interior. I got my license in it. I wish I could find it again. He traded it to a 74 LTD in 1978

Es the exhaust legal, cut off under car?
Hit the horn bar closer to where it connects to the steering wheel on either side....not in the middle.....loosens up after 50 years

Like To Drive, LTD
If it was a 4 door and green It would be the car from the TV show The Wonder Years. Jack Arnold's car.
I was hoping a 429 was under the hood
I’m just here for the ghost creep walk.
Hey brother, The squeak is coming from the passenger side headrest.
That's what I thought too but then I could hear a squeak during the undercarriage driver over. Sounded like either a wheel bearing or a u joint.

Too bad I can't see it in person. I might would be willing to trade my 99'' SS for it if you could locate a dash pad.
😅 you flexing bra you don’t need to locate a dash pad just have it simply repaired. A cheap repair at that
