Brings me back so many great memories. Romancing the Stone will always be my favorite movie.
same here
LOVE THIS MOVIE. I am a child of the 80's, and this was part of me growing up. Amazing movie when I watch it even today. I wish my generation could make movies as good as this.
I'm with you on that!!
Your right I wish they could make movies this great. 1984 I was 20 years old. i remember walking one day in the cold to see this across town where it was showing. as I got half way there it started to rain. But I was determined to see it.
I absolutely love this piece of music and the entire soundtrack. He did a great job with this!
This version is excellent it brings tears to my eyes, remembering the past! Beautiful❤
This does really well to set up the film in the beginning. Joan has a sense of longing that just won't come true until she actually lives.
This movie is amazing on so many levels
Alan Silvestri, genius composer, wow, he is just fabulous, a real “diamond”!
RIP papa thank you for showing this movie when I was a kid. This song is magic so beautiful
This theme from this movie as well as the movie is forever ingrained into me..Watched it ever since I was a little kid. Great memories, just watched it last night. Such a great 80s classic!..
When you put together Bob Zemeckis & Alan Silvestri... the result is PURE CINEMATIC MAGIC 😍
Fact: they both wore the same polo shirt the day they met for the meeting for scoring romancing the stone
Totally co-sign this statement!
pure bliss...Alan Silvestri a true Legend...
Thank you Alan for posting the marvelous music from Romancing the Stone. Transports me into another world.
It's funny how music can take you straight back to a moment in time in the past and make you remember just how you felt that day.
Great movie! One of the all time greats! It's my favorite movie with Michael Douglas Kathleen Turner and Danny Devito. Diane Thomas will be missed forever.
I play this on repeat, daily. Thank you so much! Wonderful film, Exceptional Soundtrack!
Great music. I've always loved this
My favorite film by far. Thank you so much for uploading this!
Every time existed in one continium, if man and women belive in the love, dreams and destiny. The favorite melody for my childhood. Thank Maestro. And also thanks Robert Zemecis, Katleen Turner and M. Douglas and D. de Vito!
I'm a metal head and yet this score is so relaxing! VERY nice!
Finds the pulse every time.... what an era we had.
Magical.
This will be a film I will be watching with my girl on a hot summer evening over a fire and glass of red wine. She was born in 87 so she learning about the classics from me which I grew up with, I was born in 70, but we got a good relationship. In my heart I was going to save this movie for the right person to watch with. I remember watching this the first time on ABC in early 1987 at 16. Great film.
Love this movie
big thanks to this movie for inspiring faith in the studios to make back to the future
IMHO the best Jazz sax song ever with a great Latin rhythm!
Thanks alanbond007. I was only 9 when i first saw this movie..the music, the characters, the storyline..got stuck in my head.
I have the movie and listened to the soundtrack all the time while riding my bike...good times! I really enjoy this opening title (well it's the 2nd thing we hear but I always call it opening title)
Grande filme e excelente trilha sonora.
Holy shit, my heart has just melted. How I wish I was in love with some gorgeous chick back in 1984 and not stuck here in horrible old 2014.
CaptainWillard yeah and a nice guy back in 1984 but I was only nine back then. These 80s movies were great.
I'd like to go back to 1984 too
CaptainWillard Ahahaha, I think the same thing when I hear this or many other 80's Nostalgia
I love you
2019...Yuck...Wishing I could go back in time myself... It seems a lot of people feel that way
I wake up in the morning 🌅 to this song
One of the very best "adventure/comedies" of all time, honest! The on-screen chemistry between Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner is wonderful, both playing their parts flawlessly.
Great Movie / Great Music / CANT GO WRONG!
That's so true!

Brandy W. Yes definitely the end track and the song when they’re dancing at the party.
Definitely. This movie has its memorable moments. When the scene and song playing goes perfect together. I was actually 4 years old when this movie came out. Thanks to my dad who had it taped on VHS. First saw this movie when I was about 8 years old back in ‘88
@@felixmortem The Soundtrack was pressed on CD back in 2002 now out of print but was re issued last year 2017 with a few bonus tracks not on the first release!! The re issue is from La La Land Records while the first edition was released through Varese Club. Get the re issue while you still can at it is limited to 2000 Units!!
And I have both editions!!
"Oh Romeo, Romeo, where art thou Romeo???"
Thanks. Been looking for this for the longest time.
The success of this movie led to the studio support Zemeckis in making the legendary Back to the Future.

Thanks for posting! I love this track. Gotta order in on CD. Very 80s here. Just recently watched Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile on DVD (have both of them) a couple of weeks ago! :)
I was watching this movie at the soviet cinema in Siberian city of Yakutsk in the middle of summer of 1989 at my happiest childhood year as I was just 13. Magic movie, I miss that time a lot. I came back many times maybe 6-7 times. I loved that movie a lot.

Delayed Dx7 epiano... Awesome intro!
@Wizard101Rocks987
That is clearly your opinion but do not try to say that other people have poor choice in music. You don't know me or anyone else here to say things like that. Alan Silvestri has a great body of work and this is on the list. Thank you. Goodbye.
I've been looking for the sheet music especially of this version. I guess Im just going to have to play by ear.
"That was the end of Grogan, the man who killed my father, raped and murdered my sister, burned my ranch, shot my dog, and stole my bible!!!"
@MatiasandTinaGarcia
It's Gary Herbig
I love this so much
I'll be making this downloadable asap. Hope it doesn't get taken down afterwards lol. :p
Finally!!:)
Love this film.
And the same guy wrote the avengers theme...
I love smooth saxophone music. I was watching this last night and primarily because of this song, as well as the version when Michael and Kathleen are dancing in that night Columbia scene. You should upload that too. I'm planning on developing a career in screenwriting and advertising, and filmaking is part of the training for that, so therefore, working with Alan Silvestri is a concept I'll stick with in my head.
How is going your career?
@@gabriel0961 3 award-winning short films to my name, and 20 or so awards in-between them. :)
@@NewYorkS4U glad to hear that!
Any idea of the saxophone player? Always thought it was Ernie Watts.
Mtngear Sax is Gary Herbig. I actually researched that a while back and put it in the info section of the vid. His website is in there as well.
