This video is not especially for women but I learned something very important.Three years of lessons and my singing teacher has never told me to be sure to not be airy when doing lip trills. I did it wrong all the time. Thank you so much for telling me the difference.
I’m pretty sure Jeff’s channel led me to you! Jeff, Madeline, and yourself are my favs and have helped me in a big way! Nice to see you guys cooperate happy 🎃
Jeef rolka the best vocal teacher for me so far, tq so much rolka coz now i can increase my vocal range, just follow all u infomation at utube👍🏻👍🏻, keep share u vocal technique
These are great exercises! I’ve been really seeing progress in my range recently as a vocalist and have lots of samples on UA-cam documenting that journey!
Thank you so much for these wonderful exercises. I've practiced them for like five times so far and magically my voice is already connected. Sometimes I fail, but my voice has never been that seamless with so little effort.
I love the collab. Jeff, your vocal exercises helped me so much in getting used to my voice. Freya, your videos gave me so many tips on right vs wrong way to sing and you’re such a joy and pleasure to watch :). Happy to be subscribed to you both and continue to support your channels
These exercises really helped thank you Freya for introducing Jeff. I am getting to grips with the transition however once I get there I find it hard to style. Can you both offer any advice on this?
Thank you both for this video. I love it when people collaborate. I am a regular follower of both of you and this particular one really helped me with the passaggio that has been escaping me. I do have a question though: how do I know if the voice that is in the upper passaggio is not just switching to a falsetto?
hi , I would like to know your reaction about Iranian music Have you ever listened to Iranian music? singer : mohsen Yeganeh Song : I promise you Song: sayeh bi gharar Singer: alireza ghorbani Singer : homayoun shajariyan Song : sanama
very interesting exercices! It seems to me that I'm louder when I come down to my chest voice. Does that seemless voice come eventually with long practice ? Thank you, Gerard
Singing along with this and my voice always cracks on the second note descending due to head voice to chest voice transition if I’m note carefully but ascending from bottom to the top note there’s no crack
I have a question about the second exercise and those there after. So when im decending and ascending from head to chest. Am I using a "mixed voice" in the bridge area? Or is a distinct change from head to chest, and chest to head? Thank you.
Jeff, was successful up to the Ng to ai exercise. My ng keeps breaking around E and F ( the third modulation). Sound just stops. Starts again around G but it is pure falsetto. Got any suggestions?
Learn a bit about your fach. Sounds like you might be a light lyric tenor which has some specific training needs. Discovering this was a game-changer for me.
i am an Italian and i read "male passaggio" wich in italian means: bad passaggio, so i thought it went about examples of bad passaggio ... ppppffffffffffhhhhhhhhhh..... hahahahaha
Remember singers, dont take singing advice from "coaches" who cant actually sing. A close second is if they use words like Passaggio, make sure they pronounce it correctly. Dude is mangling the Italian language while claiming to understand Italian singing technique. Fraud.
Most of the video unfortunately is leading into the wrong direction. I am wondering why they do not show the process of covering that is happening from the secondo passaggio. I expected much at the beginning but got disappointed. 🥲

I listened and liked the first most. Of course, Europeans know Iran or "the Persians" are very smart and talented and here again, you could hear that. But no more fighting with the Greek, please.

I knew it, it's Jeff Rolka. When you told us in the live stream. Your adjectives for him gave me the clue
Thanks, Jeff. Thanks for gentility and specificity with the 2ndo passagio. Thanks, Freya, for hosting Jeff!
Thanks Jeff, Pagpalain ka ng Maykapal

subtitles next time pls. love u
Can't do these without my voice flipping from head to chest uncontrollably like a teenager going through puberty. How do I make it smooth?
18:50 that's part is very straining.
I have less agility when I try to hold the formant up to the highs, and I start to feel like I sound choked

As soon as i sing E vowel it becomes breathy, what can be reason? Should i push more?

Thank you.
I guess what im asking am I learning to "shift" between registers, or "transition" between registers.
Yes you have to navigate from head to passagio(mixed) to chest to ascend and descend.
Singing low and singing high is easy , it's the bit in the middle that's my problem , the "dreaded passagio" 🤨
It’s a bit too low for me to sustain head voice
You are definitely a tenor then
i am an Italian and i read "male passaggio" wich in italian means: bad passaggio, so i thought it went about examples of bad passaggio ... ppppffffffffffhhhhhhhhhh..... hahahahaha
Have you ever heard Adele's HELLO sung by One OK ROCK's Taka?
Please listen to it.
I thought secondo passaggio was for head voice lol
Sie haben Bässe vergessen!
Your piano seems to me, like it is out of tune Jeff. 🙉
Remember singers, dont take singing advice from "coaches" who cant actually sing. A close second is if they use words like Passaggio, make sure they pronounce it correctly. Dude is mangling the Italian language while claiming to understand Italian singing technique. Fraud.
Absolute bullshit
Thank you,
but this was not helpful at all.
We all know these already.
WTF is this guy on? He talks about the passaggio but hasn’t demonstrated it at all! 😂😂😂😂
Most of the video unfortunately is leading into the wrong direction. I am wondering why they do not show the process of covering that is happening from the secondo passaggio. I expected much at the beginning but got disappointed. 🥲
